Use this subtask to change the system-wide options.
This subtask is available only for the Company Settings for company number 1.
Enter the number of days a user will be allowed to wait before being forced to change his password. Once the specified number of days has passed, the user will not be able to enter Costpoint without changing his password.
Enter the number of days since the last login date before a user becomes inactive. Enter zero to turn off validation.
Select the check box to have the system verify that the linked employee ID is still active in the employee master. If the linked employee's status is not active, or the termination date is earlier than the current date, the user will not be able to log in.
The following are standard password rules enforced by Costpoint.
New passwords cannot be the same as the old password.
New passwords must match their verification entry.
Passwords can contain alphanumeric characters and all special characters on the keyboard (!,#,$,%,&,(,),*,+,-,<,=,>,?,@,[,],^,_,{,},~).
If the Allow Password Reuse check box is not selected on the System Settings (Others » System Administration » System Settings) screen the application will check the User Password History Table to determine if the password has already been used.
The password must contain at least eight characters.
The password must begin with a letter.
The password cannot contain:
User's first name
User's last name
User's first and last name
User ID
Employee ID
The word “password”
Use the fields in this group box to strengthen the Password Complexity rule. These options add additional restrictions to the standard password rules which are already enforced by Costpoint:
Enter the minimum password length. You cannot enter a value less than 8 or greater than 12.
Select this check box to require at least one number in the password.
Select this check box to require at least one special character in the password.
Select this check box to require at least one upper-case and one lower-case letter in the password.
Enter a valid email ID that the application can use to send an email when the number of employees nears or has exceeded the license limit. This field is required only if Employee-Based licensing is being used.
Select Low (600 DPI) or High (1200 DPI) for the default report resolution for forms (checks, purchase orders, and so on) from the drop-down list.
Use this group box to set the URL and system name for the Web product.
Enter the URL to be attached to any email messages generated by the Costpoint Web Workflow process.
Enter the system name to be used in the Costpoint Web login screen to access this database. The System Name is used in constructing the URL.
Use this group box to set the Database, User ID, and Password of Meta Schema. The Meta schema contains menu, screen layout and security rights information specific to the Web product.
Enter the name of the Costpoint Web meta database.
Enter a user ID that can be used to log into the Costpoint Web meta database.
Enter the password for the User ID that will be used to log into the Costpoint Web meta database.
Enter the SQL server database instance used to store the web product metadata.
