MAINTAIN EC COMMODITY CODES

Use this screen to establish and maintain Commodity Codes. Commodity codes are an agreed-upon method of identification when transporting goods and materials between countries.

Although some countries may have longer and more detailed codes, all countries have agreed to these codes. (Some countries may use extra digits at the end of the code to make the commodity code more detailed, but each code's base will be the same for the generic goods.) Please review the requirements for the countries with which you do business.

Use this screen to add new commodities. These codes will be used for Lookup in the Customs Info subtasks of the Edit Customer Product Bills, Edit Manual Bills, and Edit Project Product Bills screens in Costpoint Billing.
