Use this function to set the database parameters for the dynamic temporary tables created during some reports, processes, and postings. Any dynamic table or index not entered on this screen will use the default settings established by the database vendor. For more information on dynamic temporary tables, refer to Special Topic SA-4, "Application Locking/Dynamic Tables," and refer to the manuals provided by your database vendor for details about the parameters of your database.
This screen pertains to Oracle, MS SQL Server, and Sybase users only; SQLBase users will not be able to access this screen. Oracle, SQL Server, and Sybase users will have to enter an object name in the table window, but from then on, only the appropriate columns will be visible for the particular database. Oracle users may find the column names cryptic, but they relate to the precise Oracle parameter name.
Only one user at a time will be allowed to run this application.
The Database Administrator should use this function whenever there is a need to fine-tune the database.
