LABOR CLASSIFICATION

Use this subtask to specify the labor classifications used in the routing step. This subtask will be disabled if the selected line is a subcontract operation (i.e., if the Labor/Subcontract field is "S" in the main screen).

Establish this subtask while creating the routing step and maintain it whenever modifications to labor classifications are necessary.

Part

This non-editable field displays the part ID used by this routing step. The non-editable part description displays beneath this field.

Rev

This non-editable field displays the revision number of the part.

Company Id

This non-editable field displays the company ID assigned to the routing record. This field is hidden if you selected the Separate Items by Company checkbox in the Product Definition Corporate Settings subtask of the Product Definition Settings screen.

Routing

This non-editable field displays the routing number of this routing step.

Desc

This non-editable field displays the description of the routing.

Op Sequence

This non-editable field displays the operating sequence number.

Alternate

This non-editable field displays the alternate sequence number.

Step

This non-editable field displays the step number of the operation.

Operation

This non-editable field displays the operation code. The unlabeled field to the right displays the operation description.

Work Center

This non-editable field displays the work center ID. The unlabeled field to the right displays the work center description.

Load From

Use this group box to select the source of labor classifications for this work center. Specify the work center's labor classifications or the operation's labor classifications and then select the Autoload pushbutton. You must have already set up labor classifications in either the Maintain Labor Operations screen or Maintain Work Centers screen for this work center.

Work Center

Select this radio button to load the work center's labor classifications when you select the Autoload pushbutton.

Operation

Select this radio button to load the operation's labor classifications when you select the Autoload pushbutton.

Table Window

Labor Classification

Enter, or use Lookup to select, the ID of the labor classification used by the routing step.

Classification Description

This field displays the labor description.

Required Quantity

Enter the number of employees the step will require under this labor classification.  This field may already display the quantity of employees that was specified for this labor classification when the work center was originally created, but it can be overridden.

Skill

This field displays the skill code that was initially assigned to the selected labor classification.

Skill Description

This field displays the skill code description.

GLC

This field displays the general labor category code that was initially assigned to the labor classification.

GLC Description

This field displays the general labor category description.

Autoload

Select this pushbutton to load the labor from the operation or work center if the information has been set up in the Maintain Work Centers, the Maintain Labor Operations, or the Maintain Subcontractor Operations screens, respectively.
