ITEM QUERY

Use this screen to view item information that is less detailed than that found in the Item Inquiry screen.

Note:  When you first access the Item Query screen, Subquery will automatically display so that you can select the criteria required to view item information.

Selection Criteria

Field

Use this drop-down box to select the field you wish to use as a selection criterion.

Relation

Use this drop-down box to define a relationship between the selected Field and the Value.

Value

Enter the value to which you want to limit your search. The Value field is used with the Field and Relation fields to define the rows to be selected from the database.

Case Sensitive

Select this checkbox if you want the search to be case sensitive.

Add

After you have filled in the Field, Relation, and Value fields, select this pushbutton. Your value statement will display in the Current field. You can add another value statement by changing the Field, Relation, and Value fields and selecting this pushbutton again. Use the Combine Method group box to determine how statements are handled by the query.

Select this radio button when both value statements in the Current field must be true for selection to take place.

Or

Select this radio button when either statement in the Current field may be true for a record to be selected.

Current

The Current field displays the statements as you create them. The highlighted row shows the statement that will be modified if you select the Replace pushbutton, or removed if you select the Delete pushbutton.

Add

Select this pushbutton to add a new statement to the Current field.

Replace

Select this pushbutton to modify the highlighted statement in the Current field.

Delete

Select this pushbutton to delete the highlighted statement in the Current field.

Sort By

Item

Use the drop-down box to choose a field by which to sort.

Ascending

Select this radio button to sort the rows in ascending order.

Descending

Select this radio button to sort the rows in descending order.

Number of Rows

Select the Count pushbutton to view how many database rows satisfy the current selection criteria.

OK

Select the OK pushbutton to accept the selection criteria. The Subquery screen will close and the Item Query screen will appear, populated with the data from the subquery selection.

Cancel

Select this pushbutton to cancel the Subquery screen and return to the Item Query screen.

Table Window

Item

This column displays the Item ID.

Item Rev

This column displays the revision for the item.

Item Description

This column displays the description for the item.

Item Type

This column displays the item type.

U/M

This column displays the item's U/M.

Commodity

This column displays the commodity code associated with this item.

Product Class

This column displays the product class associated with this item.

Product Type

This column displays the product type associated with this item.

Buyer

This column displays the buyer ID assigned to this item.

Buyer Name

This column displays the name associated with the buyer ID.

Lead Time

This column displays the vendor lead time for this item.

UPC

This optional field displays the Uniform Product Code (UPC) for the item. You can assign this value to the item in the Additional Item Codes subtask of the screen in which the item was established.

Industry Class

This optional field displays the industry classification code along with its description for the part, good, or service. You set up industry classification codes in the Industry Classifications screen, and assign them to the item in the Additional Item Codes subtask of the screen in which the item was established.
