Use this screen to set up printer IDs. A Printer ID tells the process server that the process reports should be routed to a specific printer. When you log in to the process server, you will indicate which printer is associated with the printer ID. This screen contains a non-editable table that shows the process servers and server printers that are currently associated with a Printer ID.
Enter printer IDs before you submit a process to the queue. Both the Submit Process To Queue screen and the Submit to Queue function in the Options menu will ask you whether or not you wish to enter a specific Printer ID or use the server default. You can use Find or Query to select a Printer ID.
Enter up to 15 alphanumeric characters for a new Printer ID. The Printer ID tells the process server which printer to use. For example, if you want your process to be printed to a laser printer in your account department, you could set up a Printer ID called "Accting Printer." When you submit your process to the queue, you specify the Printer ID as "Accting Printer." When you log in to the process server, you will link the "Accting Printer" Printer ID with the printer in your account department, which may be called "HP LaserJet III on Server 1." (You can link any currently installed printer to a Printer ID.) This is a required field.
Enter up to 30 alphanumeric characters to describe the Printer ID. This is a required field.
This column displays all the process servers that have printers linked to the Printer ID. You cannot edit this field.
This column displays the printer associated with the Printer ID for a particular process server. This field will display the printer setting made by the last individual to log in to the particular server. You cannot edit this field.
