EXECUTE PROCESS

Use this screen to execute a process on your workstation. You can run the process immediately or at a future time and date. In addition, you can exit Costpoint automatically after completing the process.

Select the Update Parameters checkbox in the table window to update the saved parameters of functions in the process. With this feature, you can quickly update those saved parameters that change from time to time, such as fiscal year.

Use either Find or Query to search for desired processes. Since no data is stored to the database from this screen, the New, Delete, and Save menus and pushbuttons are inactive.

You should first enter information into the Maintain Process Groups and Maintain Processes screens.

Note: The Maintain Process Groups screen is optional. Use this screen if you need a method to group your processes using a unique identifier.

You must have rights to all of the Costpoint functions that make up the process you are trying to execute. If you do not have full rights to a function or the function has been set up with "read only" rights, you will receive an error message when you attempt to run the process.

Note: If your workstation is locked (you have indicated you want to run the process at a future date and time), you can select the Cancel pushbutton in the Process Controller screen to regain control.

Note: Costpoint will automatically exit the Execute Process screen after the process has been run.
