The Change/Monitor Process Status screen displays the processes in the process queue. It provides information on the status of a particular queue, the attached server(s), and the processes that the queue contains. You can edit the Status, the Scheduled Time, and the Scheduled Date of a specific process. You can edit a process only if you submitted it.
Before a process is added to this screen, you must submit the process to the queue either by using the Submit Process to Queue screen, or by selecting the Submit to Queue function in the Options menu. The processes that have been submitted to the queue will appear in this screen. When the process server executes a process, "Executing" displays in the Status field. If the process is not executed successfully because of a process server failure, "Aborted" displays in the Status field.
You cannot enter new processes in this screen. You can update or delete the processes already sent to the queue if "Aborted," "Hold," or "Pending" displays in the Status field. If "Executing" displays in the Status field, you cannot edit the process. Remember to select Save when you update or delete the processes in this screen.
You must first create a process in the Maintain Processes screen and submit it in the Submit Process To Queue screen; you can submit a function's parameters by selecting the Submit to Queue function in the Options menu. After using Find or Query to select a queue, the fields in this screen will be populated. You can then use this screen to edit the processes that you submitted.
If "Pending" displays in the Status field, the Scheduled Time and the Scheduled Date will determine when the process is executed on the process server.
Use Find or Query to select a queue; its queue ID will display in this non-editable field.
This non-editable field displays the status of the queue. "Active" means entries in the queue can be executed by a process server. "Hold" means that no entries can be executed. You can submit additional entries to a queue that is on "Hold," but none of them will be executed until you change the status.
This non-editable field displays the server(s) that is connected to the queue.
This field displays the status of the server: "Active," "Hold," "Inactive," or "Stop." If the Status field displays "Active," the server is available to process queue entries. If "Hold" displays, the server (though set up) is not currently available to process queue entries. "Inactive" means the server has been set up, but currently is shut down. "Stop" means the server will be stopped when it finishes executing the current entry and its status will change to "Inactive."
This non-editable field displays each process that has been submitted to the queue. If the process was submitted from the Submit Process to Queue screen, the process ID displayed here will be the one selected in that screen. A temporary process ID will be displayed if you submitted one using the Submit to Queue function in the Options menu.
This non-editable field displays the description for each process. If you submitted the process from the Submit Process to Queue screen, the process description displayed here will be the one selected in that screen. A temporary process description will be displayed if you submitted the process using the Submit to Queue function in the Options menu.
Your user ID will display in this non-editable field only if you submitted the process to the queue. Though all processes submitted to the queue are displayed, you can update only rows that contain your user ID.
The current status of the process is displayed in this field, i.e., "Aborted," "Executing," "Hold," and "Pending." If this field displays "Executing," you will be restricted from changing the Status, Schedule Time, or Date fields; otherwise, you can change the Status field to "Pending" or "Hold."
If the Status field displays "Aborted," the process was previously submitted but was not executed successfully on the process server. Use this screen to delete the entry or change the status to "Pending" and enter a new scheduled date and time.
If the Status field displays "Executing," the process server is executing this process. If "Pending" displays, the entry will be executed as soon as it reaches the top of the entry list and a server is available. To get a process to execute, set the Status field to "Pending" and enter the scheduled date and time. If the Status field displays "Hold," the process will not be executed until you change the Status field to "Pending."
This non-editable field displays the date and time the process was submitted to the queue.
Enter or update the scheduled time for the process that you submitted. The system will accept only a future time.
Enter or update the scheduled date for the process that you submitted. The system will accept only the current date or a future date.
This non-editable field displays the date and time the process began executing.
This non-editable field displays the number of days that should pass after the current entry is executed on the process server before this process recurs.
This non-editable checkbox will be selected if you specified Workflow notification when you submitted the process; otherwise, it will be unchecked.
If the process is being executed, the name of the process server executing the entry is displayed in this non-editable field.
This non-editable checkbox will not be selected if a Printer ID has been associated with this process; otherwise, it will be checked.
This field displays the printer IDs assigned to this process. This field will be blank if the Default Printer checkbox is selected.
This non-editable column displays the printer associated with a particular Printer ID. Only printers installed for the last user logging onto the server will be displayed. This field will be blank if the Default Printer checkbox is selected. This field will also be blank if the Default Printer field is not selected and the process is not currently being executed on the server.
