COMPUTE ACCOUNT ORG BURDEN RATES

Use this toolkit to build burdens by account and organization for a specific fiscal year.  You can limit the accounts and organizations used to build the composite rates.  The period specified determines what period to use from the POOL_RT_TABLE to get the YTD (Year to Date) actual and target rates for building the YTD composite rates. No override rates are considered.

The account/orgs that you build in this table must be project-required and in POOL_BASE_ACCT for the fiscal year specified.  Additionally, the Apply Rates to Projects check box must be selected for the pool in the Cost Pools screen (Projects » Cost and Revenue Processing » Cost Pool Setup).  Service centers are not considered.  The composite rates computed in this toolkit are YTD composite rates and do not include burden cost ceilings since the rates are not built by project.

This toolkit builds composite rates based on rows existing in the ALLOC_APPLIC table.

If the YTD actual or target rates are missing for the selected fiscal year/period in POOL_RT_TABLE for one or more of the pools in ALLOC_APPLIC, the toolkit inserts a zero for the unknown rate and no error message is displayed.

Before running this toolkit, you must have set up cost pools with YTD actual and/or target rates in the Pool Rates subtask of the Cost Pools screen. Additionally, you must have run the Build Rate Application Table screen to create the "map" used to build the composite burden rates by account/organization.

Select Accounts

Range Option

Use this drop-down list to select the range of accounts for which you want to build burden rates. Valid options are:

• All

• One

• Range

• From Beginning

• To End

Enter, or use the Lookup Account button to select, the starting account for which you want to build burden rates. If you select All or From Beginning in the Range Option field, this field is inactive.

To

Enter, or use the Lookup Account button to select, the ending account for which you want to build burden rates. If you select All, One, or To End in the Range Option field, this field is inactive.

Select Organizations

Range Option

Use this drop-down list to select the range of organizations for which you want to build burden rates. Valid options are:

• All

• One

• Range

• From Beginning

• To End

Enter, or use the Lookup Org button to select, the starting organization for which you want to build burden rates. If you select All or From Beginning in the Range Option field, this field is inactive.

To

Enter, or use the Lookup Org button to select, the ending organization for which you want to build burden rates. If you select All, One, or To End in the Range Option field, this field is inactive.

Select Accounting Period

Fiscal Year

Use this drop-down list to select the fiscal year for which you want to build burden rates.

Period

Use this drop-down list to select the period for which you want to build burden rates.

Clear Prior Years Data

Select this check box to purge rows in AO_BURD_SUM and AO_BURD_SUM_DETL for all years before the selected fiscal year.

Execute

Click this button to start the building process.
