Use this screen to control the process that builds the Rate Application table. The system creates the Rate Application table from the information entered in the Cost Pools screen (Projects » Cost and Revenue Processing » Cost Pool Setup); the table is used to allocate indirect costs to Projects. It contains all base accounts and the pool (or pools) to which they are related. You should select the Rebuild of Rate Application Table Required check box in Allocation Groups screen (Projects » Cost and Revenue Processing » Cost Pool Processing and Reporting) each month before your period end processing to evaluate whether you need to run this screen.
You should build the Rate Application table after the initializing the Cost Pools data and before running the Compute Burden Cost screen (Projects » Cost and Revenue Processing » Project Cost Processing). Additionally, you must also run this screen any time one of the following conditions occurs: 1) you change or add a pool base account; 2) you change a pool sequence number; 3) you change the Apply Rates To Projects check box in the Cost Pools screen. If any one of the conditions occurs, the Rebuild of Rate Application Table Required check box in the Allocation Groups screen is selected, and the Compute Burden Cost program will not run until you run this screen (Build Rate Application Table).
This non-editable field displays only the allocation group number 1. Group 1 is the primary allocation group because all the pools in that group will allocate to projects. The adjacent field displays the description of allocation group 1.
Use this drop-down list to select fiscal years that have been set up in Costpoint General Ledger. You can choose any fiscal year, including years that have been closed. This is a required field.
This non-editable column displays all of the sequence numbers that have been set up for the pools in allocation group 1.
This non-editable column displays all of the pool numbers, in sequence number order, that have been set up for allocation group 1.
This non-editable column displays the description for each of the pools in the Pool No field.
Click the Process icon on the toolbar to build the Rate Application table. When the process is complete, the Rebuild of Rate Application Table Required check box in the Allocation Groups screen will be cleared, and you can then apply pool rates to projects.
Changes to this screen update the ALLOC_APPLIC table.
