PLC TOTAL BUDGET

Use this screen to enter the total budgets for Project Labor Categories (PLCs) against the project. Total budgets track the budgeted hours and amount for this project over the life of the project. The PLC budgets entered in this screen can be printed on the Project Labor Summary Report in the Project Inquiry and Reporting area.  You can enter the budgeted hours and amount by fiscal year, period, and subperiod in the PLC Budgets by Period screen.

Enter data in this screen after you have initialized the project and the PLCs.  After you have established your PLC Budget, you must run the Maintain Budget Report Tables (Projects»Budgeting and ETC»Total Budgets) and the Create Project Report Tables (Projects»Inquiry and Reporting»Report Processing) processes. The PLC Budgets will not appear on the Project Labor Summary Report if these processes are not executed.

Project

Enter a valid project or use to select a project. The description of the project will automatically be displayed next to the project.

Project Labor Categories

PLC

Enter a PLC or use to select one. The system tracks and reports actual charges by project and project labor categories. The budgets for PLC are entered in this screen and budgets for GLC are entered in another screen.

PLC Description

The PLC description will default into this field when you enter the PLC.

Avg Rate

Enter an average rate for this PLC. If an average rate was established in the Maintain Average PLC Rates screen (Projects»Budgeting and ETC»Budget Setup), the average rate will default into this column.  The system will multiply the Avg Rate entered by the Empl Hours to calculate the Empl Amount

Empl Hours

Enter the total budgeted hours by employee for this PLC against the project. Every time you change the Empl Hours, the system will recalculate the Empl Amount.

Empl Amount

Enter the total budgeted amount by employee for this PLC against the project. The system will display the calculated amount by multiplying Avg Rate by Empl Hours. If you override this amount, the system will recalculate the Avg Rate by dividing Empl Amount by Empl Hours.

Vend Hours

Enter the total budgeted hours by vendor for this PLC against the project. The system will calculate the Vend Amount by multiplying the Vend Hours by the Avg Rate.  Every time you change the Vend Hours, the system will recalculate the Vend Amount.

Vend Amount

Enter the total budgeted amount by employee for this PLC against the project. The system will display the calculated amount by multiplying Avg Rate by Vend Hours. If you override this amount, the system will recalculate the Avg Rate by dividing Vend Amount by Vend Hours.

Total Hours

The field displays the total hours entered against the PLCs.

Total Amount

The field displays the total amount entered or calculated against the PLCs.

Last Update

This field displays the date on which this PLC was created or the last time it was changed.

Total Employee

Hours

This field displays the sum of employee budgeted hours for all PLCs.

Amount

This field displays the sum of employee budgets for all PLCs.

Total Vendor

Hours

This field displays the sum of vendor budgeted hours for all PLCs.

Amount

This field displays the sum of vendor budgets for all PLCs.

Total PLC Budget

Hours

This field displays the sum of budgeted hours for all PLCs.

Amount

This field displays the sum of budgeted amounts for all PLCs.

Table Information

Changes to this screen update the PROJ_BUD_PLC table.
