Use this screen to enter the total budgets for General Labor Categories (GLCs) against the project. Total budgets track the budgeted hours and amount for this project over the life of the project. The budget information that is entered in this screen can be printed from the Print Project Labor Summary Report (Projects » Inquiry and Reporting » Project Reporting). Budgeted hours and amount by fiscal year, period, and subperiod are entered in the GLC Budgets by Period screen (Projects » Budgeting and ETC » Period Budgets).
Initialize the project and GLCs before entering data in this screen. After entering the budgets in this screen, you must run the Maintain Budget Report Tables (Projects » Budgeting and ETC » Total Budgets) and Create Project Report Tables (Projects » Inquiry and Reporting » Report Processing) processes before the GLC Budgets can appear on the Project labor Summary Report.
Enter a valid project or use to select one. The description of the project will automatically be displayed next to the project.
Enter a GLC or use to select one. The system tracks and reports actual charges by General and Project Labor Categories. The budgets for GLC are entered in this screen and budgets for PLC are entered in the PLC Total Budget screen (Projects » Budgeting and ETC » Total Budgets).
The GLC description will default into this field when you enter the GLC.
Enter an average rate for this general labor category. If you have established average GLC rates in the Maintain Average GLC Rates screen (Projects » Budgeting and ETC » Budget Setup), the average rate will default into this column. Costpoint will multiply the Avg Rate entered by the Empl Hours to calculate the Empl Amount.
Enter the total budgeted hours by employee for this GLC against the project. Every time you change the Empl Hours, the system recalculates the Empl Amount.
Enter the total budgeted amount by employee for this GLC against the project. The system will display the calculated amount by multiplying Avg Rate by Empl Hours. If you override this amount, Costpoint will recalculate the Avg Rate by dividing Empl Amount by Empl Hours.
Enter the total budgeted hours by vendor for this GLC against the project. Every time you change the Vend Hours, the system recalculates the Vend Amount.
Enter the total budgeted amount by vendor for this GLC against the project. The system will display the calculated amount by multiplying Avg Rate by Vend Hours. If you override this amount, Costpoint will recalculate the Avg Rate by dividing Vend Amount by Vend Hours.
The field displays the total hours entered against the GLCs.
The field displays the total amount entered or calculated against the GLCs.
This field displays the last time this GLC was created or changed.
This field displays the sum of employee budgeted hours for all GLCs.
This field displays the sum of employee budgets for all GLCs.
This field displays the sum of vendor budgeted hours for all GLCs.
This field displays the sum of vendor budgets for all GLCs.
This field displays the sum of budgeted hours for all GLCs.
This field displays the sum of budgets for all GLCs.
Changes to this screen update the PROJ_BUD_GLC table.
