Use this screen to enter the average labor rate of the General Labor Categories (GLCs) for use in the budgeting screens. Rates entered here will default to the GLC Budgets by Period (Projects » Budgeting and ETC » Period Budgets) and GLC Total Budget (Projects » Budgeting and ETC » Total Budgets) screens when you enter a line using the specific GLC. The system will multiply these rates by the employee or vendor hours to arrive at the employee or vendor amount.
When you enter this screen, the table window is empty. You must use the Subquery function to populate the table. You cannot add new lines or delete existing ones; you must complete those functions in the General Labor Categories screen (People » Labor » Labor Controls). You can change only the Rate column. Any changes to the Rate column in this screen also change the rate in the General Labor Categories screen.
Complete this screen before using the GLC Budgets By Period or GLC Total Budget screens. When you access those screens, the rates will default in and the system will automatically calculate the employee amount or vendor amount when you enter the number of hours. If you choose not to complete this screen, the rates will not default in. If you enter the rates directly into the GLC Budgets By Period or GLC Total Budget screens, the rate times hours calculation will still occur.
This non-editable field displays the GLC code entered in the General Labor Categories screen (People » Labor » Labor Controls).

Enter the average labor rate of the GLC code. You can also enter these rates in the General Labor Categories screen (People » Labor » Labor Controls). Any change to the Rate field in this screen will affect the rate in the General Labor Categories screen.
Only new rows entered in the GLC Budgets by Period (Projects » Budgeting and ETC » Period Budgets) or the GLC Total Budget (Projects » Budgeting and ETC » Total Budgets) screens will be affected by a change to the rate. All previously entered rows will be unchanged and new rows will be calculated using the new rate.
