PRINT MASTER FILE LISTING

Use this screen to print information from the Basic Part Data, Planning Part Data, Services, and/or Goods screens. Characteristics assigned to parts, services, or goods will be included in the report, and you can print part information by basic part data, planning part data, or by part status type.

You can print this report for all or for a selected range of parts, services, or goods. You can print active or inactive items. You can print parts information either for basic or planning part data. A further breakdown, by make/buy code and status type, is also possible.

Print this report whenever a list of items is needed. You may find it useful to print this report after initializing items to verify the accuracy of the data.

The Master File Listing is not part of the system audit trail and does not need to be retained. However, you may find it useful to keep a set of these reports once they are printed.

Select

Use this group box to enter the selection criteria for the report.

Item Type

Parts

Select this radio button to print data on parts.

Services

Select this radio button to print data on services.

Goods

Select this radio button to print data on goods.

Item/Rev

Use this group box to select the range of items to be printed.

Range Options

Use this drop-down box to select the range of items to be printed. The selections are "All," "One," "Range," "From Beginning," and "To End." The default for this field is "All."

From/To

Enter, or use Lookup to select, the starting and/or ending item to be printed. Enter the revision, if applicable, in the field to the right. If you select "All" or "From Beginning" in the Range Options field, the From field will not be available. If you select "All," "One," or "To End" in the Range Options field, the To field will not be available.

Active Status

Use this group box to select the status of the items you want printed. If both checkboxes are left blank, no information will be printed.

Active

Select this checkbox to print items that have an active status.

Inactive

Select this checkbox to print items that have an inactive status.

Parts Only

If you selected the Parts radio button in the Item Type group box, use this group box to choose your reporting criteria.

Report Option

Basic Part

Select this radio button to print basic part data.

Planning Part

Select this radio button to print planning part data.

Make/Buy Code

Use this group box to report on make parts, buy parts, or both. Select both checkboxes to print all parts in the range you selected in the Item/Rev group box. If both checkboxes are blank, no information will be printed.

Make

Select this checkbox if you want make parts printed.

Buy

Select this checkbox if you want buy parts printed.

Status Type

Use this group box to report on the various part status types. If all checkboxes are left blank, no information will be printed. The status of parts is determined in the Basic Part Data screen.

Estimating

Select this checkbox to print data on parts with an "estimating" status.

Obsolete

Select this checkbox to print data on parts with an "obsolete" status.

Pre-Release

Select this checkbox to print data on parts with a "pre-release" status.

Released

Select this checkbox to print data on parts with a "released" status.

Phase-Out

Select this checkbox to print data on parts with a "phase-out" status.

The information on this report is taken from the following tables, depending on your selection criteria: Basic Part Data, Planning Part Data, Services, or Goods.

Table Information

The information that is entered in this screen and saved as a parameter is stored in the FUNC_PARM_CATLG table. Information is also stored in and/or pulled from the following tables: ITEM, VPD_ITEM_GDSERV, VPD_ITEM_LISTING.
