Use this screen to view information on parts, goods, or services in the database. You can enter the item ID and revision (if multiple revisions are allowed) to view both item information and project item information on the screen. You cannot use this inquiry to view information for provisional parts.
Use this screen to information about an item or range of items.
Enter, or use Lookup to select, an item ID for which information is required. The item description is displayed and cannot be changed.
Enter, or use Lookup to select, the revision of the item. If you selected the Allow Multiple Revisions For Each Item checkbox in the Product Definition Corporate Settings subtask of the Product Definition Settings screen, you can retrieve multiple revisions of the same item. If you did not select the Allow Multiple Revisions For Each Item checkbox, you can retrieve only the last revision of the item.
This field displays the unit of measure if an Item ID and Rev is entered.
Use this drop-down box to select either make or buy items. If this is left blank, both are selected.
Use this drop-down box to select the item type (parts, goods, or services) or leave blank for all.
Use this drop-down box to select active or inactive items. If this field is left blank, both active and inactive items will be retrieved.
Use this drop-down box to select a specific buyer ID on which to search.
Enter, or use Lookup to select, a specific commodity code for which to search. The description of the commodity code selected will be displayed.
Enter, or use Lookup to select, a specific product class. A product classification is a detailed grouping of items within a product type. The product class description will also be displayed.
Enter, or use Lookup to select, a planner on which to search.
Enter the national stock number of the selected item, if applicable.
Enter the military specification number of the selected item, if applicable.
Select this radio button to find an exact match of the value entered.
Select this radio button to find all items that begin with the value entered.
Select this radio button to find all items that end with the value entered.
Select this radio button to find all items containing the value entered.
This column displays the item ID for the selected items from the search.
This column displays the revision of the item.
This column displays the description of the item.
This column displays the item type, i.e., whether it is a part, good, or service.
This column displays the unit of measure of this item.
This column displays whether the item is an "M" (Make) or "B" (Buy) item.
This column displays the commodity code associated with the item.
This column displays the product class associated with the item.
This column displays the buyer ID associated with the item.
This column displays the planner assigned to the default commodity or overridden in the Planning Part Data screen for this item.
This column displays "Y" (Yes) or "N" (No) to indicate the active status of the item.
This field displays the national stock number for the selected item.
This field displays the military specification number for the selected item.
This optional field displays the Uniform Product Code (UPC) for the item. You can assign this value to the item in the Additional Item Codes subtask of the screen in which the item was established.
This optional field displays the industry classification code along with its description for the part, good, or service. You set up industry classification codes in the Industry Classifications screen, and assign them to the item in the Additional Item Codes subtask of the screen in which the item was established.
