Use this subtask to view and edit information found in the Part Warehouses table. The fields in this subtask are used to establish warehouse specific ABC classifications for the part on the main screen. Existing part level values for ABC Code, Count Frequency and Count Tolerance still remain, but must not be used.
Initially, this subtask displays classification rows associated with the part on the main screen for all warehouses for your selected company.
This field displays the part selected on the main screen. The description of the part displays in the field below this field.
This field displays the revision number for the part.
The unit of measure for the selected part displays in this field.
Enter or use to select the warehouse for which you wish to assign a classification code for this part. This field displays the Warehouse for the part/warehouse ABC classification. You can edit this field only when creating new rows.
Enter, or use to select, the ABC code that best categorizes this part for this warehouse. The ABC code is the classification of a group of items in decreasing order of annual amount volume or other criteria. The ABC Code by warehouse can be calculated in the Perform ABC Analysis (Materials » Inventory » Physical Counts) screen and can be overridden in this field. If a warehouse is already entered, this defaults in the corresponding Count Frequency and Count Tolerance for the warehouse/ABC code combination.
Enter the count frequency in calendar days in which cycle counts should be performed for this part/warehouse. A percentage automatically displays based on the Warehouse and ABC Code selected.
Enter the count tolerance percentage allowed for this part/warehouse/ABC code. Count tolerance is the percentage that is acceptable between physical count quantity and system pre-count quantity. A percentage automatically displays based on the Warehouse and ABC Code selected. The value in this field affects the appropriate count quantities in the table window of the Enter Actual Counts (Materials » Inventory » Physical Counts) screen.
Updates to this screen affect the PART_WHSE, ABC_CLASSIF_WHSE, and INVT_SETTINGS tables.
