Use this subtask to assign text code information to this document. This screen is optional.
This field displays the document ID.
This field displays the document revision ID.
This field displays the document type code.
This field displays the document name.
This field displays the document status from the main screen.
Standard Text codes are maintained in the Product Definition Controls menu. Before you can enter a text code in the Text Code field and assign it to the document, the document description must appear in the Selected Where-Used group box in the Where-Used subtask of the Standard Text screen.
Enter up to four digits for the printing sequence number of this text code. This column is required. The initial value for the first line is 10, but you can change this. The system will auto assign the next sequence number by adding 10 to the previous row.
Enter, or use Lookup to select, up to 10 alphanumeric characters for the text code to be linked to this document. This column is required. Only those standard text codes where the document description appears in the Selected Where-Used group box in the Where-Used subtask of the Standard Text screen will be available during Lookup.
This column displays the description of the text.
This column displays the document print option, which shows the types of documents in which the text will print: internal, external, or both.
The information in this screen is stored in the DOCUMENT and DOCUMENT_TEXT tables. Information is also stored in and/or pulled from the DOC_TYPE and STD_TEXT tables.
