Enter, or use Lookup to select, the item to which you want to assign costs. The description for this item will also be displayed.
The revision number of the item selected will default to the latest revision but can be changed if necessary.
This field displays the unit of measure assigned to this item in the Basic Part Data screen.
This field displays the item type, identifying this item as a part, good, or service.
The make/buy status assigned to this item in the Planning Part Data or Basic Part Data screen is displayed here as "M" (Make) or "B" (Buy).
The following total cost calculations will be displayed in these non-editable fields.
The system calculates total standard cost based upon the cost elements entered for cost type "S" (Standard).
The system calculates total reference cost based upon the cost elements entered for cost type "R" (Reference).
The system updates the last cost automatically when the most recent receipt transaction has been processed.
Enter "S" (Standard) or "R" (Reference) for the cost type for this item. You can make changes to reference cost for an item at any time, but you can make changes to standard cost only if the standard cost method is not in use, or if the standard cost method is in use but no inventory quantities exist for this item.

This field displays the current level total cost of the current part.
The ITEM_CST table stores information for this screen. Information for maintaining item cost is also stored in and/or pulled from the following tables: INVT, ITEM, PART, S_ITEM_CST_TYPE.
