DOCUMENTS

Use this non-editable subtask to view and access the documents assigned to the part on the selected inventory record. You can maintain this information in both the Maintain Documents and Maintain Parts screens in the Product Definition Bills of Materials modules.

Part

This field displays the ID of the part in the selected inventory record. The part description displays in the unlabeled field below this field.

Rev

This field displays the part revision number of the selected inventory record.

U/M

This field displays the default or inventory unit of measure for the selected part.

Table Window

Type

This field displays the document type code.

Document

This field displays the document ID linked to this part. Documents are set up in the Maintain/Release Documents screens.

Rev

This field displays the revision of the document linked to this part.

Name

This field displays the name of the document.

Status

This field displays the release status of the document ("Unreleased" or "Released").

Size

This field displays the document size code for the linked document.

Media

This field displays the document media code for the linked document.

CAGE

This field displays manufacturer's CAGE code (Commercial and Government Entity) for this part.

Sheets

This field displays the number of sheets the document uses. This is an optional field.

Organization

This field displays the organization to which the document belongs.

Maintenance Group

This field displays the ID of the maintenance group responsible for this document.

Location

This field displays the location of the document.

Effective Starting Date

This field displays the date on which the document will become effective for the part.

Effective Ending Date

This field displays the date on which the document will stop being effective for the part.

Configuration

This field displays the BOM configuration version of the part that will use this document.

Print on Purch Repts

This field displays "Y" (Yes) or "N" (No) to indicate whether this document will be referenced on purchase orders, requisitions, and request for quotes for this part.

Print on Receipt Trvlr

This field displays "Y" (Yes) or "N" (No) to indicate whether this document will be referenced on receipt travelers for this part.

Print on Assy Sheets

This field displays "Y" (Yes) or "N" (No) to indicate whether this document will be referenced on manufacturing order assembly sheets for this part.

Print on Routing Trvlr

This field displays "Y" (Yes) or "N" (No) to indicate whether this document will be referenced on routing travelers for this part.

ECN Pending

This field displays "Y" (Yes) if there is one or more engineering change notices pending against this part and document.

Last ECN

This field displays the last Engineering Change Notice ID for this part/document combination.

Launch

Click this pushbutton to access the document displayed in the Location column. To launch a document, the file name and network directory must be specified in the Location field. Costpoint loads the document in the application linked to the file name extension in your workstation’s Windows registry.
