Use this subtask to specify how forecasts will be consumed by Costpoint once reservations are created for a sales order line. If you have checked the Allow Change of Forecast Qty in Enter Sales Orders option in MPS Settings, you are allowed to edit values in this screen and can adjust the forecast part and inventory abbreviation to be consumed by the sales order line.
You can also select forecast records by need date and adjust the quantity to be consumed on each open forecast. You are not required to match the amount to be consumed from forecasts with the sales order line quantity. It is acceptable to consume more or less than the sales order quantity.
This field displays the sales order number from the main screen.
This field displays the sales order release number from the main screen.
This field displays the number of the selected main screen's sales order line.
This field displays the date the sales order line items are to be shipped to the customer for the selected sales order line.
This field displays the selected sales order line item part ID to be shipped to the customer.
This field displays the selected sales order line item part revision to be shipped to the customer.
This field displays the quantity of items to be delivered to the customer, in the part’s inventory unit of measure.
This field displays the assigned warehouse for selected sales order line item.
This field displays the inventory abbreviation material is to be issued from to meet the selected sales order line’s requirements.
This field displays the assigned project of the inventory abbreviation material is to be issued from to meet the selected sales order line’s requirements.
This Yes/No field indicates whether forecast consumption changes are allowed for this sales order line. If this field is set to "N," you will not be able to modify any forecast data. This field will typically be set to "N" when reservations have already been generated for a sales order.
Use the fields in this group box to specify what forecasts you want loaded in the grid on the screen. Once you have the desired part, inventory abbreviation, and date range option selected, you can press the Autoload Forecasts pushbutton to load the appropriate forecast requirements.
Enter, or use Lookup to select, the part you want to consume forecasts from. This part defaults from the sale order line item’s MPS Planning Part field in the Set Up Item Billings screen in Product Definition.
Enter, or use Lookup to select, the part revision you want to consume forecasts from. This revision defaults from the sale order line item’s MPS Planning Part field in the Set Up Item Billings screen in Product Definition. This field is disabled if Allow Multiple Revisions for Each Item is not selected in Product Definition Settings.
Enter, or use Lookup to select, the inventory abbreviation you want to consume forecasts from. This inventory abbreviation defaults from the sales order line’s inventory abbreviation.
Select this radio button to load only forecasts with the same need date month and year as the sales order line ship by date.
Select this radio button load only forecasts where the need date week is the same as the as the sales order line ship by date’s week. Weekly periods are determined using the Ending Day of Production Week value in MRP Report Print Options.
Select this radio button to load all open sales forecasts for the designated part and inventory abbreviation, regardless of the forecast requirement’s need date.
Select this pushbutton to populate the table window based on the selected part, inventory abbreviation and designated data range. Once the forecast requirements have been populated, you can manually edit the forecast.
Enter, or Use Lookup to select, the part you want to consume forecasts from. This field is editable only for new CTW records.

Enter the forecast need date you want to consume forecasts from. This field is editable only for new CTW records.
This field displays the open sales forecast quantity for the record’s part inventory abbreviation and need date.
Enter, or use Lookup to select, the inventory abbreviation you want to consume forecasts from.
Enter, or use Lookup to select, the project you want to consume forecasts from.
This field displays the original sales forecast quantity for the record’s part inventory abbreviation and need date.
This field displays the forecast part’s inventory, or default, unit of measure.
This field display the ID of the planner responsible for the forecast record.
Select this pushbutton to set the Order Consume Forecast Quantity field on all records to zero.
This field displays the sum of all Order Consume Forecast Quantity fields currently displayed on the screen.
