Use this screen to print MPS action messages generated by the Generate Master Production Schedules screen for a specific MPS Plan. You can print messages for specific buyers, planners, project(s), netting groups, parts, warehouses, message types, order types, and planned order date cutoffs. You can also view the planned order messages and optionally print summary inventory data for each part referenced by the selected messages.
Note that if you used the Update Materials Requirement Plan to generate plans for MPS planned parts, you will not see action messages in this report. You will need to run the Print MRP Action Message Report.
Use the options in this group box to select the types of messages to include in the report. At least one message type must be selected to run the report.
Select this checkbox to include planned order action messages in the report.
Select this checkbox to include reschedule order action messages in the report.
Select this checkbox to include decrease order quantity action messages in the report.
Select this checkbox to include cancel order action messages in the report.
Select this checkbox to include action messages triggered when the planned order has been created to meet unfulfilled demand requirements and the suggested due date is within the calculated MPS time fence range for this part.
Select this checkbox to include action messages triggered when a reschedule order message has been created to adjust a firmed orders due date and the suggested due date is within the calculated MPS time fence range for this part.
Select this checkbox to include action messages indicating that the order/req qty on the supply order referenced exceeds the maximum lot size quantity for this part, as defined in the Planning Part Data screen in Product Definition.
Select this checkbox to include GFM (Government Furnished Materials) planned order action messages in the report.
Select this checkbox to include inactive inventory abbreviation planned order action messages in the report.
Select this checkbox to include action messages indicating that there is an ECN (Engineering Change Notice) outstanding against an MPS part. You must select either the "Message Type" or "Commodity" Sort Options if you want to include messages of this type.
Select this checkbox to include action messages indicating that a key resource is identified as "over capacity" during a production week.
Enter the planning code for the action messages you want to view. Enter "P" for the "official" MPS Production plan or enter—or use Lookup to select—the code for a "what-if" plan.
Enter the last suggested order date for which you would like to view planned order action messages.
Select the sort criteria from the drop-down box. If you select the "Netting Group/Project" primary sort option, messages sort by the message project’s netting group, then by project and then by part. If you select the "Message Type" sort option, messages sort by message type and then by part. If you select the "Supply Order Type" sort option, the messages sort by the type of order (e.g., purchase requisition, PO, manufacturing order) and then by part. If you select the "Commodity" sort option, the messages sort first by the action message part’s commodity code, than by part.
Use this selection option to select the projects whose action messages you would like to include in the report. This Range Option does not impact how "ECN Pending" or "Overcapacity" messages are selected.

Enter, or use Lookup to select, the project (or beginning project for a range). If you select "All" or "From Beginning" in the Range Option field, this field is not available.

Some inventory projects are assigned are a netting group. A netting group is a user-defined collection of projects that will be planned together by MRP/MPS.
Use this selection option to select the projects, by netting group, whose action messages you would like to include in the report.
This Range Option will not impact how "ECN Pending" or "Overcapacity" messages are selected.
From the drop-down box, select the range of netting groups to include in the report: "All," "One," "Range," "From Beginning," or "To End." If you select "All," the report also includes action messages for projects without netting groups.
Enter, or use Lookup to select, the netting group (or beginning netting group for a range) whose messages you would like to view. If you select "All" or "From Beginning" in the Range Option field, this field is not available.

Use the drop-down box to select the range of buyers to include in the report. Available options are "All," "One," "Range," "From Beginning," and "To End." This field defaults to "All," in which case it includes the action messages for all buyers, along with messages without a buyer.

The Rev (revision) field (to the right of the From part field) displays if you selected the Allow Multiple Revisions for Each Item checkbox in the Product Definition Corporate Settings subtask of the Product Definition Settings screen. If you select "All" or "From Beginning" in the Range Option field, this field is not available.
Enter, or use Lookup to select, the ending part/revision (in a range) for which you would like to view messages. The Rev (revision) field (to the right of the To part field) displays if you selected the Allow Multiple Revisions for Each Item checkbox in the Product Definition Corporate Settings subtask of the Product Definition Settings screen.
