Use this screen to print MRP action messages based on parts in one or more manufacturing bills of material (MBOMs). This report allows you to view all of the outstanding action messages for all of an end item's subassemblies and components (and the end-item itself) at one time. You can also filter messages based Master Production Scheduling (MPS) plan, inventory project, message type, and/or warehouse, and control the explosion of assemblies to any level you wish. You can print a detailed, indented report sorted by MBOM, or sort a summarized list of parts by part number, message type, commodity, or make/buy code.
From this group box, select one sorting option for the BOM/action message data. The default is Indented MBOM.

Enter, or use Lookup to select, the code of the MPS plan for which you want to view MRP action messages. Keep the default of P (Production) if you want to see action messages for the official production plan. Enter a different code to see action messages for a "what-if" scenario.
Use the options in this group box to select end-item assembly parts and revisions whose subassembly/component parts' action messages you want to include on the report. To include action messages for multiple end-item assembly parts, select the List Mode check box and use the Apply and Remove buttons to create a list of end-item parts and revisions.
Enter, or use Lookup to select, an end-item assembly part that you want to print action messages for the MBOM subassemblies and components.
Enter, or use Lookup to select, the revision of an end-item assembly part that you want to print action messages for the MBOM subassemblies and components. (If you did not select the Allow Multiple Revisions for Each Item checkbox in the Product Definition Corporate Settings subtask of the Product Definition » Product Definition Controls » Product Definition Settings screen, this field is disabled.)
Enter the MBOM as-of date for the system to use to explode the assembly part's MBOM. The default is the current system date.
Enter, or use Lookup to select, the MBOM configuration ID for the system to use to explode the assembly part MBOM.
Select this check box if you want to build a list of MBOM assemblies whose action messages you would like to include in the report. Once you select this box, you can specify an assembly part, then click Apply to add it to the list box.
If you selected the List Mode check box, this list box displays the assembly parts you have selected. To delete an assembly part from this list, click the assembly part to select it, then click the Remove button.
If you selected the List Mode check box, specify an assembly part to include in the report, then click this button to add the assembly part to the list box.
If you selected the List Mode check box, you can click an assembly part in the list box to select it, then click this button to remove it from the list.
Select an option in this group box to specify the level of component explosion to include in the report. The default is All Levels.
Select this option to explode only the first-level components and subassemblies of the selected assemblies.
Select this option to explode all components and subassemblies of the selected assemblies, with their related level numbers.
Select this option to explode, up to a specific number of levels entered in the adjacent field, the components and subassemblies of the selected assemblies.
If you selected Specify Levels, enter the number of levels to explode the components of the selected assemblies. You must specify a value of at least 1.
Clear this check box to stop the explosion of phantom parts at the lowest specified level in the Select MBOM Levels group box. If you selected All Levels, this check box is cleared and disabled. Otherwise, the check box is selected by default, and phantom parts at the lowest selected level are exploded as far as possible (until no further phantom components are found) on the report.
Select this check box to include parts in the selected end-item MBOMs that do not have messages. If you elected to sort the report by Indented MBOM, this field is disabled, and parts without messages will be included in the report.
Use the options in this group box to select the message types to include in the report. You must select at least one message type.

Select this check box to include messages for supply orders that exceed the maximum lot size quantity for the component/subassembly part, as defined in the Product Definition » Part Master » Planning Part Data screen.
Use this group box to select the warehouses whose action messages you would like to include in the report.
Use the drop-down box to select the range of warehouse action messages to include in the report. Available options are All, One, Range, From Beginning, and To End. If you did not select the Plan Warehouse Separately check box in the MRP Corporate Settings subtask of the MRP Settings screen, this field is set to All and cannot be changed. Use the drop-down box to select the inventory projects/netting groups whose action messages you want to include in the report.
A - All Projects: This is the default. The report includes messages from all of the component/subassembly parts' inventory projects.
N - Netting Group Range: Select this option to include messages for inventory projects for the selected netting group(s) for the component/subassembly parts. Any messages tied to projects without netting groups will not be included.
T - Top-Level Project: Select this option to include messages for inventory projects that share the same top-level project ID as projects within the selected range.
P - Project Range: Select this option to include only messages for the inventory projects specifically included in the project range.
G - Project Planning Group: Select this option to include messages for the inventory projects included in the same project planning group, as calculated by Materials Requirements Planning/Master Production Scheduling. A project planning group represents a single project, or a group of projects that will be planned together. It is based on the Project Planning Option in the Inventory Projects screen for the specified project, and on whether the action message part is a common stock part. For example, if the Project Planning Option for the specified project is Netting Group - CS and the part is not a common stock part, the inventory, supply, and demand display for all the projects linked to the netting group. If the part is a common stock part, all non-allocated inventory, supply, and demand for that part display.
