Transfer Reservation (Message Detail) Subtask

When you click the Msg Detail pushbutton on the main screen, one of a number of different subtasks displays depending on the Message and Supply Type settings of the selected line on the main screen.

Use this subtask to view and update details of the transfer reservation/request referenced in the selected MPS action message row in the main screen. A transfer reservation represents a future change in ownership of inventory from one inventory abbreviation/project to another. You cannot edit values in this screen if you have not selected the Action Message Screen- Allow Reservation Maintenance checkbox in the MRP Settings screen.

Message

This field displays the action message suggested for the manufacturing, (e.g., "Cancel Order," "Reschedule Order," or "Decrease Qty.")

Part

This field displays the ID for the part on the selected action message on the main screen. The description for the part is displayed in the unlabeled field below this field.

Rev

This field displays the revision of the part shown in the main screen.

U/M

This field displays the part’s default or inventory unit of measure.

Reservation

This field displays the ID of the reservation referenced on the MPS action message.

Warehouse

This field displays the To warehouse ID of the reservation.

Requestor

This field displays the employee ID of the person who requested the inventory.

Status

This field displays the status of the reservation: "Approved" or "Pending."

Planner

This field displays the planner assigned to the reservation.

From Inv Abbrev

This field displays the ID of the inventory abbreviation from which the inventory is transferred. MPS treats this as a demand requirement for this inventory abbreviation. The name of the inventory abbreviation displays in the adjacent unlabeled field.  

Project

This field displays the ID of the inventory project linked to the From Inventory Abbreviation.

To Inv Abbrev

This field displays the ID of the inventory abbreviation to which the inventory is transferred. MPS treats this as a supply for this inventory abbreviation. The name of the inventory abbreviation displays in the adjacent unlabeled field.  

Project

This field displays the ID of the project associated with the To Inv Abbrev.

Line

This field displays the line number within the reservation referenced by the MPS action message.

Reserved Qty

Edit the quantity to be transferred. You can maintain this field if you selected the Allow Reservation Maintenance checkbox in the MRP Settings screen. Enter the quantity to be transferred on the reservation line.

Suggested Qty

This field displays the transfer reservation quantity suggested by the MPS process.

Due Date

Enter the date the inventory transfer will take place for this reservation line.

Suggested Due Date

This field displays the MPS-calculated date when the transfer reservation line should take place to meet requirements.
