Selected Projects Subtask

Use this subtask to view inventory project and inventory abbreviation information for selected projects, based on the project selection criteria listed in the main screen header.

Project Selection

This field displays the setting for the Project Selection Option from the main screen and determines the rows shown in the table window.

Include Common Projects

This field always displays an "N" (No) when accessed from the Edit MPS Action Messages screen.

Selected Project

This field displays the ID of the selected project entered on the main screen and determines the rows shown in the table window. The project name and abbreviation display in the adjacent unlabeled fields.

Selected Netting Group

This field displays the ID of the netting group entered on the main screen and determines the rows shown in the table window. The name of the netting group displays in the adjacent unlabeled field.

Inventory Abbreviations Table Window

This grid displays inventory abbreviation information for the projects that meet the selection criteria.

Inventory Abbreviation

This field displays the inventory abbreviation code.

Inventory Abbreviation Name

This field displays the name of the inventory abbreviation.

Account Type

This field displays the type of account, either "E" (Expense), "A" (Asset) or "G" (Government Furnished), as set up in the Inventory Abbreviations subtask of the Inventory Projects screen in the Inventory module.

Project

This field displays the ID of the project linked to the inventory abbreviation.

Project Name

This field displays the project's name.

Project Abbrev

This field displays the abbreviation for the project.

MRP Option

This field displays the MRP planning code for the project, from the Inventory Projects screen in the Inventory module. This code determines how MRP and MPS plan supply and demand for this inventory project and how the project is grouped with other projects.

Netting Group

This field displays the identifier of the netting group for the project, from the Inventory Projects screen in the Inventory module or the Netting Groups screen in Production Control.  You see a value in this field only if the project's MRP Option is "Netting Group-CS" or "Netting Group-No CS."

Netting Group Name

This field displays the netting group's name. You see a value in this field only if the project's MRP Option is "Netting Group-CS" or "Netting Group-No CS."

Planning Warehouse

This field displays the planning warehouse identifier, from the Inventory Projects screen in the Inventory module.

Planner

This field displays the identifier of the planner assigned to the project, as specified on the Inventory Projects screen in the Inventory module.

Common Inventory (y/n)

This field displays "Y" (Yes) or "N" (No) depending on whether or not the project is flagged as a common inventory project, as specified in the Inventory Projects screen in the Inventory module. This flag is not used for MRP/MPS processing purposes, but can be used by the Process Materials Requirement process in Production Control to look for available inventory in other projects.
