Use this screen to replace and/or delete a number of standard or provisional parts simultaneously from proposal bills of material assemblies. Select a proposal or a range of proposals whose PBOM(s) will have the component part replaced or deleted. The process will replace/delete the From part only where it appears as a component in a PBOM; however, if the From part also exists as an assembly or end item, that information will not be changed.
To execute this application, you must establish PBOM assemblies, components, and subassemblies for the proposal or proposal range to be processed.
Select one of two radio buttons in this group box to specify how the process should be executed.
Selecting this radio button activates the Part field in the To Component group box. Select this radio button to have the process replace the part that is listed in the From Component group box with the part in the To Component group box for a specified proposal and its PBOM line. Additionally, the To Part's Part Type, Component Type, and Make/Buy code will be updated for each applicable PBOM line.
Selecting this radio button disables the Part field in the To Component group box. Select this radio button to have the process delete the part that is listed in the From Component group box from a specified proposal and its PBOM line. If the component exists in the selected PBOM line, the PBOM line will be deleted.
Use this group box to select a proposal or range of proposals to be updated or have component parts deleted.
Select a range of proposal IDs to include in the component part replacement/deletion process. The system-defined selections in this drop-down box include "All," "One," "Range," "From Beginning," and "To End." The default for this field is "One."
Enter, or use Lookup to select, the beginning proposal ID whose PBOM will have the component part replaced or deleted. You can also enter, or use Lookup to select, the revision number of the proposal, if applicable. This field is enabled only if you selected "One," "Range" or "To End" in the Range Option drop-down box.
Enter, or use Lookup to select, the ending proposal ID whose PBOM will have the component part replaced or deleted. You can also enter, or use Lookup to select, the revision number of the proposal, if applicable. This field is enabled if you selected "Range" or "From Beginning" in the Range Option drop-down box.
Use this group box to have the system select only those PBOMs for each proposal listed in the Select Proposals to Update group box according to the proposal status. For each PBOM that is selected by the system, the proposal's status is compared to the status selections in this group box, and the PBOM line is matched with the proposal record. Select all checkboxes in this group box to have the system process all PBOM line rows, regardless of the proposal status.
If you select this checkbox, only those PBOM line rows with a proposal status of "In-Process" will be included in the process.
If you select this checkbox, only those PBOM line rows with a proposal status of "Submitted" will be included in the process.
If you select this checkbox, only those PBOM line rows with a proposal status of "Completed" will be included in the process
If you select this checkbox, only those PBOM line rows with a proposal status of "Closed" will be included in the process
Select this checkbox to include any PBOM line rows whose Freeze PBOMs checkbox is selected for the associated proposal in the Maintain Proposal Master screen.
