Use this subtask to access additional options for calculating net available component inventory and other inventory selections.
These fields display the proposal ID, revision (if applicable), and proposal description, and default from the main screen.
You can view inventory detail in the Part Inventory Inquiry screen in Costpoint Inventory Control. A part's Net Available Quantity = On Hand Qty + In Inspection Qty + In Shipping Qty + On Order Qty + On Req Qty + Owed Qty + Planned Owed Qty - Reserved Qty - Planned Reserved Qty. If you selected the Incl MRB as Available Inventory checkbox in the Production Control Settings screen in Costpoint Product Control, the MRB Quantity is also added to the sum.
When you first open this subtask, this checkbox is selected. Leave this checkbox selected to have the application calculate available inventory quantities and store the inventory with the proposal item cost data. The system calculates inventory only for standard parts, rather than goods, services, or provisional parts.
Use this group box to specify how the system will determine inventory levels for eligible parts in the summary worktable. Using the inventory project selection criteria and the MRP option code of any selected inventory project, the system will calculate available inventory from the appropriate inventory projects for each standard part.
Select this radio button to have the system use the existing available inventory quantity for calculating the proposal item's inventory.
Selecting this radio button enables the Include Common Inventory Projects and Subtract Safety Stock from Available Inventory checkboxes. If you select this radio button, place your cursor in the blank field below and enter, or use Lookup to select, the inventory project. The system reviews the MRP Option for the selected inventory project. You can assign MRP Options to Inventory Projects in the Inventory Projects screen in Costpoint Inventory Controls, and you can change them in the Netting Groups screen in Costpoint Production Control.
Selecting this radio button enables the Include Common Inventory Projects and Subtract Safety Stock from Available Inventory checkboxes. If you select this radio button, place your cursor in the field to the right and enter, or use Lookup to select, the netting group. You establish netting groups in the Production Controls menu in Costpoint Production Control. If the inventory project that is associated with the netting group uses common stock, and the part being reviewed is a common stock part, all inventory rows with that part where the Use Common Inventory is "Y" will be included in the process.
Select this radio button to have the system process the quantities of all inventory rows that contain the selected part.
If you select this checkbox and populate the Inventory Project field or Netting Group field, all inventory rows will be included in the calculation where the part's Use Common Inventory is "Y" for that inventory project in the Netting Groups screen in Costpoint Production Control. You can assign common inventory to projects in the Inventory Projects screen in Costpoint Inventory.
If you select this checkbox, the selected projects' safety stock quantity must be summed to determine safety stock requirements for that part. The safety stock quantities will be subtracted from the net available quantity for that part.
