COMPONENT PART

This non-editable subtask displays information for the component part selected in the main screen table window.  This screen is similar to the Assembly Information subtask, but only information for the selected component part line in the main screen displays here.

Component

Part, Rev, Make/Buy, U/M, Description

These fields default from the main screen table window for the selected component part line.

Proposal Quantity Breakpoints

These fields default from the main screen table window for the selected component part line.  Each calculated value in the proposal quantity break field will default in the appropriate field in this group box.

Part Status

This field displays the component part's status from the main screen.   If the component is a provisional part, this field will display "Provisional."  You can maintain the part status (for standard parts) in the Maintain Parts screen in Costpoint Product Definition. 

Prov Part Type

This field displays the provisional part type as it appears in the main screen if the component part is a provisional part. This field will be blank for standard parts.  You establish provisional part types in the Maintain Provisional Part Types screen, and assign them in the Maintain Provisional Parts screen in Costpoint Product Definition.

Total Lead Time

This field displays the total number of lead time days for the component part. You establish lead time days for standard parts in the Lead Time subtask of the Planning Part Data screen in Costpoint Product Definition. Establish lead time days for provisional parts in the Lead Time subtask of the Maintain Provisional Parts screen.

Scrap

This field displays the total scrap percentage for the component part on its PBOM line. You can modify the scrap percentage in the Maintain Proposal BOM screen, and you assign it to a part in the Planning Part Data screen in Costpoint Product Definition.

Notes

This text box displays alphanumeric notes assigned to the component part.
