Use this screen to set up the controls for overtime-related functions in Costpoint Labor. You can control the auto-adjust feature for the uncompensated overtime and correcting timesheets features. General information is also included for controlling overtime for salaried employees and for recasting overtime premiums. Select the appropriate checkbox to enable a feature. Otherwise, leave the checkbox blank to turn the feature off.

Use these group boxes to control the auto-adjust features for regular timesheets.
Use the selections in this group box to activate the selective auto-adjusting feature for hourly and salaried employees.
Select this checkbox to use the auto-adjust feature for hourly employees (in addition to salaried employees). The auto-adjust feature is used for uncompensated overtime. It adjusts the hourly rate and labor cost on all timesheet lines so that the labor cost equals the salary amount. This eliminates any variance for the employee.

Use the selections in this group box to control the method of auto-adjusting correcting timesheets in the Enter Correcting Timesheets screen.
Select this radio button to have the corrected timesheets auto-adjusted individually.
Select this radio button to have the corrected timesheets auto-adjusted collectively, meaning all corrected timesheets for the period are summed for each employee and the total adjusted amount is proportionally spread across all timesheets.

Use the selections in this group box to allow overtime for salaried, FLSA Exempt employees and to set overtime premium recast default pay type.
Select this checkbox to allow salaried, FLSA exempt employees to charge overtime-designated pay types (see the documentation for the Pay Types screen). Normally, salaried, FLSA exempt employees do not receive compensated overtime. Select this checkbox to pay salaried, FLSA exempt employees for overtime hours worked; otherwise, an error condition will exist at timesheet entry if a salaried, FLSA exempt employee charges to a pay type code designated as an overtime pay type.
Use this field to specify a company-wide pay type for recasting overtime premiums. This is the pay type used in the Overtime Premium Recast screen. In the Overtime Premium Recast screen, you can associate the recast amount with a different account/organizations/project. The program runs in a batch-processing mode. The pay type defined in this screen is used if a specific pay type has not been set up in the Pay Types screen for the pay type charged on the timesheet line being recast. Leave this field empty if you are not planning to use the Overtime Premium Recast screen.
