LABOR LOCATIONS/LOCALS

Use this screen to establish the labor location or local codes and related descriptions. If you selected the Require Labor Location on Timesheet checkbox in the Labor Settings screen, the Lab Loc/Local field is required on each timesheet line. Labor location codes are required in the Defaults subtask of the Basic Employee Info screen in Costpoint Employee, and for setting up the Wage Determination Rates, WD Fringe Handling, Overtime Rules by Location, and Pay Type Restrictions screens (if using any of these screens, see the documentation for the Labor Settings screen). If you selected the Enable Union Functionality checkbox in the Labor Settings screen, the Local ID is required in the Defaults subtask of the Basic Employee Info screen and is required for setting up the Union Profile, Crew Assignment, Overtime Rules by Location (Local), and Pay Type Restrictions screens.

Initialize this screen before entering any labor-related data into Costpoint. You can establish an unlimited number of codes and descriptions.

Lab Loc Code/Local ID

After selecting the New Line button on the tool bar, enter up to six alphanumeric characters in this user-defined field to uniquely identify this labor location or local. This field is required.

This field will be entitled Local ID if you selected the Enable Union Functionality checkbox in the Labor Settings screen. If you did not select the Enable Union Functionality checkbox in the Labor Settings screen, this field will be entitled Lab Loc Code.

Description

Enter up to 30 alphanumeric characters to name or describe this labor location/ local. This is a required field.

Changes to this screen update the Labor Location/Locals - LAB_LOCATION table.
