Use this subtask to enter human resources information for the employee.
The fields in the main screen must be populated for the selected employee ID.
This field displays the employee ID from the main screen, along with the employee's name in the field to the right.
Enter "M" (Male) or "F" (Female) for the employee's gender.
Enter a one-character code to identify the marital status of the employee, such as "M" (Married) or "S" (Single), in this optional field. This field is used for information only.
Select this check box to designate the employee as disabled.
Select this check box to indicate that the employee is blind.
Enter, or use Lookup to select, the value for this employee's Visa Type. Visa Types are established in the Visa Types screen under the Employee Controls menu. If the employee does not have a Visa, select "None." This is a required field.
Enter the date on which the employee's visa expires.
Select the employee's race from this drop-down list. The selections available in this drop-down box are in compliance with Affirmative Action reporting requirements and allow you to produce statistical analyses as required in the Affirmative Action Planning menu in Costpoint Affirmative Action.

Select this check box to indicate that the employee is a disabled veteran. A disabled veteran is a veteran who:

Was discharged or released from active duty because of a services-connected disability.
Disabled Veterans are reported on the VETS-100A report. The VETS-100A report is printed for contracts of $100,000 or more, awarded on or after December 1, 2003.
Select this check box to indicate that the employee is an Armed Forces Service Medal Veteran. An Armed Forces Service Medal Veteran is a veteran who, while serving on active duty in the Armed Forces, participated in a United States military operation for which an Armed Forces Service Medal was awarded pursuant to Executive Order No. 12985.
Armed Forces Service Medal Veterans are reported on the VETS-100A report. The VETS-100A report is printed for contracts of $100,000 or more, awarded on or after December 1, 2003.
Select this check box to indicate that the employee is an Other Protected Veteran. An Other Protected Veteran is a veteran who served on active duty in the U.S. military, ground, naval, or air service, during war or in a campaign or expedition for which a campaign badge has been authorized. More information is available at http://www.opm.gov/veterans/html/vgmedal2.htm.
Other Protected Veterans are reported on both the VETS-100 and VETS-100A reports. The VETS-100 report is printed for contracts of $25, 000 or more, awarded before December 1, 2003. The VETS-100A report is printed for contracts of $100,000 or more, awarded on or after December 1, 2003.
Select this check box to indicate that the employee is a Vietnam Era Veteran. The following determines Vietnam Era Veteran status:
The veteran served on active duty in the U.S. military, ground, naval, or air service for a period of more than 180 days and was discharged or released with other than a dishonorable discharge, if any part of that active duty was performed:
In the Republic of Vietnam between February 28, 1961, and May 7, 1975.
Between August 5, 1964, and May 7, 1975, in all other cases.
The veteran was discharged or released from active duty in the U.S. military, ground, naval, or air service for a service-connected disability, if any part of that active duty was performed:

Select this check box to designate the employee as a Reservist. This data is for informational purposes only, and is not currently used in any Costpoint reporting or processing.
Select this check box to indicate that the employee is a Special Disabled Veteran. The following determines Special Disabled Veteran status:
The veteran is a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation under laws administered by the Department of Veterans' Affairs for a disability unless he is receiving military retired pay.
The disability is rated at 30 percent or more.
The disability is rated at 10 or 20 percent in the case of a veteran who has been determined under Section 38 U.S.C. 3106 to have a serious employment handicap.
The veteran was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.
Special Disabled Veterans are reported on the VETS-100 report. The VETS-100 report is printed for contracts of $25,000 or more, awarded before December 1, 2003.
If applicable, enter the date (in MM/DD/YYYY format) on which this employee was discharged or released from active military duty. If applicable, this date is used to report recently or newly separated veterans on both the VETS-100 and VETS-100A reports.
When printing the VETS-100 report, Costpoint uses this field to determine the number of Newly Separated Veteran employees and new hires.
For this report, "Recently Separated Veteran" means that, within the last year, the employee was discharged or released from active duty in the U.S. military, ground, naval, or air service.
The VETS-100 report is printed for contracts of $25,000 or more, awarded before December 1, 2003.
When printing the VETS-100A report, Costpoint uses this field to determine the number of Recently Separated Veteran employees and new hires.
For this report, "Recently Separated Veteran" means that, within the last three years, the employee was discharged or released from active duty in the U.S. military, ground, naval, or air service.
The VETS-100A report is printed for contracts of $100,000 or more, awarded on or after December 1, 2003.
