Use this screen to establish transfer locations for both the sending and receiving databases. If you are transferring IWO data from one database to another, the location codes must be identical in each database. You can set up the Home Location (the beginning database) in the Inter-Company Work Orders group box in the Project Settings screen (Projects » Project Setup » Controls). You also designate the Last IWO Number used in the Project Settings screen. The system will use these two fields to mark and identify entries created and transferred out of this database during the transfer process.
If you enter N in the Active field for a location, it will not be available for selection in the Project Settings screen. You cannot transfer allocations to inactive locations.
Use this screen as the first step in creating an IWO transaction. The location codes established here are available for in the IWO Project Setup screen. You can transfer each IWO project to only one receiving project and location.
Click the New Line icon on the toolbar and enter a new six-character alphanumeric code.
Enter a 25-character alphanumeric code that describes the location code.
Select an option to indicate whether the location is active or inactive. Valid options are:
Y - Active
N - Inactive
You cannot link inactive locations to projects.
Enter, or use to select, the functional currency of the location.
Use this field to identify this location as an external or internal database. If this location is for a database that is not the database which generates the IWO transfer then it is an external database. If the location is the same database from which the IWO transfer is generated then it is an internal database. Enter Y for an external database and N for an internal database.
This screen uses the IWO_LOCATIONS table (populated by IWO Locations screen).
The Location field (IWO_LOC_CD) is a six-character, user-defined code used to identify either a sending or receiving database. The codes must be unique within each database, but you must establish exact, duplicate names in both the sending and receiving databases. These names will be the source table for by the Project Settings screen (Projects » Project Setup » Controls) in establishing the location code of the database. This code will later be attached to transfer data to establish the source or destination databases for that data. We suggest that the code indicate the location (such as MASD or LISD). You cannot use special characters, such as &, %, and so forth.
The Location Name field (IWO_LOC_NAME) is a 25-character, user-defined code used to identify the location database.
The Active field (ACTIVE_FL) defines whether the location is active (Y (Yes)) or inactive (N (No)). Inactive locations are not available for in the Project Settings screen. Inactive locations cannot receive IWO allocations. Do not associate projects with inactive locations. Make unused locations inactive, but to maintain historical data, do not delete them.
The Currency Code (S_CRNCY_CD) is the three-digit code for the functional currency of the location.
The Country Code (COUNTRY_CD) field is currently not used.
Modified by (MODIFIED_BY) is a system-used field that identifies the user ID of the person making the entry or change.
Time stamp (TIME_STAMP) is a system-used field that identifies the time and date of the row creation or modification.
Row version (ROWVERSION) is a system-used field.
