Use this subtask to derive the unit cost of a part. The unit cost can be broken down into various direct and burden elements such as material, labor, subcontract, and miscellaneous. If Cost Suppression is active (the Suppress Cost checkbox is selected in the table window of the Maintain Users screen in Costpoint System Administration), this subtask is disabled.
If you have entered a negative issue quantity, you can adjust any of the cost fields. If the transaction is not a negative issue, unit cost information is displayed in this screen but cannot be edited.
Access this subtask whenever a unit cost should be attached to the part that has been issued.
The part, revision, part description, project, project description, and cost method are all displayed in these non-editable fields.
This field displays the direct material unit cost.
This field displays the direct labor unit cost.
This field displays the direct subcontract unit cost.
This field displays the direct miscellaneous 1 unit cost.
This field displays the direct miscellaneous 2 unit cost.
This field displays the burden material unit cost.
This field displays the burden labor unit cost.
This field displays the burden subcontract unit cost.
This field displays the burden miscellaneous 1 unit cost.
This field displays the burden miscellaneous 2 unit cost.
This field displays the total of all cost elements entered as the total unit cost for this part. This unit cost is also displayed on the Unit Cost field of the main screen.
