Use this screen to establish company-wide personnel actions for changes to an employee's Salary Info and History data. There is no limit to how many codes you can establish. Examples of some widely used actions include "Termination," "Layoff," "Transfer," "Merit Increase," and "Promotion."
Enter this information as part of your initial setup. These codes will be validated when you change information in the Salary Info and History screen.
After selecting the New Line button on the toolbar, enter up to 10 alphanumeric characters to uniquely identify this personnel action. This is a required field.
Enter up to 30 alphanumeric characters to uniquely describe the purpose of the Personnel Action Code. This is a required field.
Select one of three options from this drop-down menu to specify whether the personnel action is a termination action, a hiring action or neither/not applicable. If you select "Termination," the Action Type will default to "Negative" but can be changed. Similarly, if you select "Hire," the Action Type will default to "Positive" but can be changed.
Select one of three options from this drop-down menu to specify whether the action is a negative, positive, or not applicable action.
Changes to this screen update the PERS_ACT_REASON table.
