Use this screen to assign a requisition number to requests that are made for filling a position. The only limitation on who can be a requester is that the requester must be an employee. However, you can set limitations on who is allowed to access this table.
You can initialize this screen at any time.
If you selected the Manual radio button in the Requisition Numbering Method group box in the Personnel Settings screen, enter a requisition number, or leave blank if you chose the System radio button.
If you chose the system-wide method of numbering requisitions, the system will assign the next requisition number when you select the Next Req No pushbutton before saving the record. If you wish to see what the next requisition number will be, select the Next Req No pushbutton. If you chose the manual method, you must enter the requisition number. Requisition numbers are assigned according to the top level of the requisition's organization. For example, if your first requisition for organization number 1 is entered with an organization number of 1.2.210, it is assigned a requisition number of 1. When you enter your first requisition for organization number 2, such as 2.2.210, it is also assigned a requisition number of 1 because the top-level organization is different. This is a required field.
The system date will default here. If you wish to use a different date to signify initiation of this requisition, enter that date. The date format is "MM/DD/YYYY." This is a required field.
Enter, or use Lookup to select, the organization for which you are initiating this requisition. The description of the organization displays to the right of this field. This is a required field.
Enter, or use Lookup to select, the employee ID of the person initiating this requisition. This is a required field.
