Use this screen to define the internal procedure to be followed when recording and reporting work-related injuries and illnesses. This table contains the codes and related descriptions for each step that must be followed when recording and reporting work-related injuries/illnesses. You can then further define the processing steps by selecting whether they are required by workers' compensation, OSHA, both, or none.
At a minimum, you should enter all of the accident-processing steps and descriptions that are required by workers' compensation and OSHA before going to the next screen. You can add to this table any time and establish an unlimited number of codes and descriptions.
Select the New Line button on the toolbar and enter up to 10 alphanumeric characters to uniquely identify the accident step. This code is user-defined and it is a required field. For example, you might associate "Step 1" with the description "Submit WC claim form."
Enter up to 30 alphanumeric characters to describe or name the processing step. This is a required field.
Enter the one-character code to identify whether this step is required by OSHA, workers' compensation, both, or neither. Valid codes are "O" (OSHA-200), "W" (Workers' Compensation), "B" (Both), and "N" (Neither).
Changes to this screen update the H_ACCDNT_STEP table.
