Use this screen to identify family members of highly compensated employees, and to classify the family members (e.g., "Spouse" or "Child" of the highly compensated employee). Complete this screen only for those highly compensated employees who have family members that are employees who also participate in a deferred compensation plan.
A "family member" is defined as one of the following:
The spouse of the highly compensated employee, or
The highly compensated employee's lineal ancestors and their spouses, or
The highly compensated employee's lineal descendants and their spouses.
Enter, or use Lookup to select, the ID of the employee that you want to link to the highly compensated employee identified below. The employee identified below is the one that will display on the ADP and ACP report in Costpoint Deferred Compensation Admin, representing the family aggregation group. The employee entered here may be either a member of the highly compensated group or a member of the non-highly compensated group, as long as he is a family member of the highly compensated employee identified below. Verify that an employee entered here is not also in the highly compensated group, which would prevent him from being included in the ADP and ACP testing.
The name of the entered employee is displayed in the adjacent unlabeled field.
Use these radio buttons to provide further information about the family relationship. This information is used by the ADP and ACP reports in Costpoint Deferred Compensation Admin for determining family aggregation amounts.
If the above employee is the legal spouse of the employee below, select this radio button.
If the above employee is the child of the employee below, and will be age 18 or less at the end of the current plan year, select this radio button.
If neither of the two above situations applies to the above employee, select this radio button.
Enter, or use Lookup to select, the ID of the highly compensated employee to which the above employee will be linked. This employee will display on the ADP and ACP reports in Costpoint Deferred Compensation Admin, representing the family aggregation group. Lookup in this field will display employees only from the Employee Deferred Compensation Info screen who have been identified as "highly compensated." Do not enter the same employee here that you entered in the Employee field.
The name of the entered highly compensated employee is displayed in the adjacent unlabeled field.
