UPDATE NOTIFICATION HISTORY

Use this screen to build a history of notification letters that have been printed. Notification letter records populate the Notification Inquiry screen when the Update process is executed in this screen. Before updating the Notification Inquiry screen, this application prints a report detailing the notification letter information that will be included in the update.

Notification letters must exist in the Print Notification Letters table before you can run this process.

Select

Notification Letters

Use the fields in this group box to select which notification letter codes to process to the Notification Inquiry screen.

Range Option

If you select "All," the From and the To fields are disabled; if you select "One," the To field is disabled; if you select "From Beginning," the From field is disabled; and if you select "To End," the To field is disabled.

From

If your range selection is "One," "Range," or "To End," enter, or use Lookup to select, the Notification Letter Code with which you wish to start this report.

To

If your range selection is "Range," or "From Beginning," enter, or use Lookup to select, the Notification Letter Code with which you wish to end this report.

Employee

Use the fields in this group box to select which employee IDs you wish to process to the Notification Inquiry screen.

Range Option

From

If your range selection is "One," "Range," or "To End," enter, or use Lookup to select, the employee ID with which you wish to start this report.

To

If your range selection is "Range," or "From Beginning," enter, or use Lookup to select, the employee ID with which you wish to end this report.

Report Status

This non-editable field indicates whether or not the Notification History Report has been printed, and whether you can then proceed to update the Notification Inquiry screen. If you change any of the previously selected criteria after printing the report, this field will be set to "Not Printed," and you will have to print the report again before you can update. The Notification History Report shows the notification letter records identified in this session that exist in the Print Notification Letters table. These records will be used to update the Notification Inquiry screen. If no records are found which meet the selection criteria, a statement to that effect appears on the report.

Process

When you first enter this screen, this button on the toolbar will be grayed-out. If you select it after you have printed the report as part of this session (the button becomes available after printing), you will receive a message asking if you are sure you wish to Update Notification History. If you answer "OK," the update process will proceed.

Process/Print

You can select this button on the toolbar when you first enter this screen. You will receive a message asking if you are sure you want to Update Notification History. If you answer "OK," the report prints with the update following immediately.

Table Information

Changes to this screen update the Z_HCPNOTHS_WRK1 table.
