Use this screen to create the Equal Opportunity (EO) Survey report, which is sent to federal contractors by the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP).
Set up the Affirmative Action Plan and assign it to appropriate employees in the Salary Info and History screen in Costpoint Employee before using this screen. If you are using job groups as the job grouping method, you must assign a job group to each employee in the HR Info subtask of the Salary Info and History screen.
Enter, or use Lookup to select, the affirmative action plan for which you want to print this report. This is a required field. The unlabeled field to the right displays the plan description. Once you have populated this field, the Coverage Start Date and Coverage End Date fields will display the respective dates from the Coverage Dates group box in the Affirmative Action Plans screen.
This non-editable field displays the start date of the selected affirmative action plan.
This non-editable field displays the end date of the selected affirmative action plan.
The program will use the dates in this group box to create the EO Survey for the specified plan. Once you have populated the Affirmative Action Plan field, the Start Date and End Date fields in this group box default with the Coverage Start Date and Coverage End Date, respectively, but can be changed. The Start Date and End Date range must be within the plan's Coverage Dates.
Enter the first day of the period that will be used to create the Affirmative Action reports for this plan.
Enter the last day of the period that will be used to create the Affirmative Action reports for this plan.
Use this group box to specify the method that will be used to group functional job titles. Establish functional job titles in Costpoint Compensation.

Select this radio button if job groups should be used to group employees for the EO Survey report.
Select this checkbox if you want the system to use the employee's adjusted hire date to determine tenure (how many hire dates the employee had within the reporting period). This information is established in the Salary Info and History screen in Costpoint Employee.
The EO Survey requires annual monetary compensation information. Annual Monetary Compensation is defined as an employee's base rate, plus other earnings such as cost-of-living allowance, hazard pay, or other increment paid to all employees regardless of tenure on the job.
Use this group box to select the pay types that are used for payment of other earnings. Pay type information is established in the Pay Types screen in the Labor Controls menu in Costpoint Labor. Pay type codes are then assigned to employee records in the Defaults subtask of the Maintain Employee Master and/or Basic Employee Info screens in Costpoint Employee.
Select this checkbox to report EEO-1 information for non-contiguous other earnings pay type codes.
Use this drop-down box to select the range of pay types to include on the report. Valid options are "All," "One," "Range," "From Beginning," and "To End." If you did not select the List Mode checkbox, the default for this field is "All;" if you selected the List Mode checkbox, the default is "One."
Enter, or use Lookup to select, the starting pay type code used for payment of other earnings. If you selected "All" or "From Beginning" in the Range Option field, this field will be inactive.
Enter, or use Lookup to select, the ending pay type code used for payment of other earnings. If you selected "All," "One," or "To End" in the Range Option field, this field will be inactive.

After you populate this screen and select the Preview or Print buttons on the toolbar, the application selects those employees that are assigned to the specified Affirmative Action Plan and employed as of the screen Effective Date.
The report lists Personnel Activity data (i.e., hires, promotions, terminations, and end-of-year totals by EEO-1 code/job group and gender), as well as compensation data (i.e., compensation and average tenure information for full-time minorities and non-minorities by EEO-1 code or job group).
For example, the Personnel Activity data displays only employees whose Empl Type is "R" (Regular) in their Salary Info and History record within the Date Range. The compensation data is based on the employees that were employed any time within the specified Date Range (regardless of current status). Each employee's compensation and tenure is also based on the last day of the specified Date Range.
