DEFINE REORGANIZATION STRUCTURES

A "reorganization" is an alternate organization that can be used to print financial statements and some other G/L reports. Each reorganization (or "reorg") is linked to an existing organization. When you print reports by reorganization, account/org information is presented using the reorg to which each org is linked, in lieu of the original organization charged. The Financial Statements, Financial Statement Detail, and Trial Balance reports are all available by reorganization.

In this screen, define the structure and the top-level element of each reorganization. The length of the top level of the reorganization is set up in the G/L Settings screen and applies to all reorganizations. You can also use this screen to set up the structure of the remaining levels of the reorganization; this structure can vary by reorganization. Multiple reorganization structures are possible.

You can set up reorganizations at any time after linking the accounts and organizations. You must have set up reorganization numbers in this screen before you link them to existing account/org combinations.
