This screen is the starting point for setting up budgets that will display on the financial statements. Financial Statement budgets can be tracked by fiscal year, revision, and accounting period for each organization.
You will use this screen initially to set up the fiscal years for which you will track budgets. Once a budget requires revision, use this screen to set up a new revision number. Using the Clone option in the File menu, you can copy the original budget to the new revision number, and then modify the new revision to reflect the new requirements.
You must set up fiscal years and revisions, if applicable, in this screen before you can enter budget data for General Ledger account/orgs.
Use the drop-down box to select the fiscal year with which you would like to work. This field is required. The fiscal year must already have been set up in the Fiscal Years screen.
Enter the revision number in this 10-character alphanumeric field. Begin with revision 0 for the baseline budget. This field is required.
The date is saved automatically and displays when you create a new revision.
Select this checkbox to make this budget revision the default for the selected fiscal year.
Enter up to 254 characters of text describing the budget revision. This field is optional.
