Use the Depr Component Info by Book Report to print a snapshot of depreciation-related values in Asset Master records on a real-time basis, as the data currently exists, at any time. You can select one or more specific column values to print on the report (up to a maximum of eight) and select the column position on the page for the following data:
Total Cost
Salvage Value
Amount to Depreciate
Prior FY Depreciation
FYTD Depreciation
Current Pd Depreciation
Accum Depreciation
Book Value
You can print data for all books, but you can select data only for a single book at a time. Data for each book displays on a different report page. You can print a summary report or a detail report that prints data asset-by-asset. You can print the data for any range of depreciation expense account allocation codes, asset/item numbers, asset accounts, organizations, and/or projects and/or depreciation expense accounts, organizations, and/or projects.
Use additional selection criteria to print project subtotals and to include the current period depreciation expense amount in the total displayed in the accumulated depreciation column. If you print a detail report, you can also print the Accum Depr Acct Codes on the report. Sort options include by account, by organization, by account/org, by accumulated depreciation account code, or by asset no/item no. You can also use a page break option for all sorts other than by asset/item number.
You can also print data for active records, inactive records, disposals, depreciable records, and/or non-depreciable records. (For non-depreciable records, only the Total Cost column values are applicable.)
This report is designed to emulate spreadsheets that print depreciation component data in an easy-to-read format using side-by-side columns. You can print it only on legal-sized paper.
You can print this report at any time. Depreciation–related component data prints on a "real-time" basis exactly as the data exists in your Asset Master records at the time your run the report.
Use the radio buttons in this group box to specify how the depreciation component values should be selected. You can select records by asset ("ownership") acct/org/proj, by accumulated depreciation acct/org/proj, or by accumulated depreciation account code.
This radio button is selected by default. Select this radio button to choose depreciation component values by asset ("ownership") account/organization/project.
If you select this radio button and save the print parameters for the report, "AAOP" will be inserted into the Select Records By column in the Query table.
Select this radio button to choose depreciation component values by accumulated depreciation account/organization/project.
If you select this radio button and save the print parameters for the report, "DAOP" will be inserted into the Select Records By column in the Query table.
Select this radio button to choose posted depreciation expense data by accumulated depreciation account code.
If you select this radio button and save the print parameters for the report, "ADAC" will be inserted into the Select Records By column in the Query table.
Use the radio buttons in this group box to specify either a summary report that omits individual asset/item number data or a detailed report that prints data for each asset/item number (within the parameters of your selection criteria).
This radio button is selected by default. Select this radio button to print a summary report without individual asset/item number data.
If you select this radio button, you cannot choose records by asset/item number. In addition, you cannot access the Accum Depreciation Acct Codes checkbox in the Print group box and you cannot access the Accum Depr Acct Code and Asset/Item No radio buttons in the Sort By group box. Furthermore, you cannot access the Print Project Totals and Page Break checkboxes in the Sort By group box.
If you select this radio button and save the print parameters for the report, "S" will be inserted into the Report Option column in the Query table.
Select this radio button to print a detailed report that includes individual asset/item number data.
If you select this radio button and save the print parameters for the report, "D" will be inserted into the Report Option column in the Query table.
The radio button that you chose in the Select Records By group box determines the selection criteria that you can enter in this group box.
If you selected the Asset Acct/Org/Proj radio button in the Select Records By group box, select data for the asset "ownership" account, as applicable.
If you selected the Accum Depr Acct/Org/Proj radio button in the Select Records By group box, select data for the accumulated depreciation account, as applicable.
If you selected the Accum Depr Account Code radio button in the Select Records By group box, select data for the accumulated depreciation account code, as applicable.

Use this drop-down box to select a range option. Options are "All," "One," "Range," "From Beginning," and "To End." The default option for this field is "Range."
If you save the print parameters for this report, the selected range option, as applicable, will be identified in the Query table in the Asset Range column.
Enter the beginning asset/item number for the Range Option or use Lookup to select one. Because the standard Lookup for the asset/item number is to the ASSET table, you may find that you have selected asset records for which the specified data does not exist or asset records that do not meet your other selection criteria. In this event, the data you expect to retrieve from the ASSET or ASSET_OTH_BK_DEPR table, as applicable, may not be selected.
If you select "All" or "From Beginning" in the Range Option field, this field will be inactive.
If you save the print parameters for this report, the selected From values, as applicable, will be identified in the Query table in the From Asset No and From Item No columns.
Enter the ending asset/item number for the Range Option or use Lookup to select one. Because the standard Lookup for the asset/item number is to the ASSET table, you may find that you have selected asset records for which the specified data does not exist or asset records that do not meet your other selection criteria. In this event, the data you expect to retrieve from the ASSET or ASSET_OTH_BK_DEPR table, as applicable, may not be selected.
If you select "All," "One," or "To End" in the Range Option field, this field will be inactive.
If you save the print parameters for this report, the selected To values, as applicable, will be identified in the Query table in the To Asset No and To Item No columns.
Use the checkbox in this group box to include current period depreciation amounts in the accumulated depreciation totals.
Select this checkbox to obtain useful values from the report whenever you run it, both before and after you have computed depreciation.
This checkbox is unchecked by default. If you leave this checkbox unchecked, the Accum Depr column will display only the total of the fiscal year-to-date and depreciation for all prior fiscal years. In this circumstance, any current period depreciation already computed will be excluded from the system-computed total accumulated depreciation total and the system-computed book value total. As a result, the total amounts displayed on the report for accumulated depreciation and book value will be different from those displayed in the corresponding Asset Master record.
If you want to include current period depreciation in the accumulated depreciation value displayed on the report, select this checkbox. In this circumstance, the total amounts displayed on the report for accumulated depreciation and book value will be identical to those displayed in the corresponding Asset Master record.
If you select this checkbox and save the print parameters for this report, your selection will display as "Y" in the Include Current Pd column in the Query table.
Use the checkbox in this group box to print accumulated depreciation account code data on the report.
This checkbox is available for use only if you have selected the Detail by Asset radio button in the Report Option group box.
This checkbox is unchecked by default. If this checkbox is left unchecked, the system will NOT print data in the Accum Depr Acct Code column. Select this checkbox to print this data on the report.
If you select this checkbox and save the print parameters for this report, your selection will display as "Y" in the Print Accum Depr Acct Code column in the Query table.
Use this drop-down box to select the desired book for which to print depreciation component information. Although you can only select one book at a time, you can print this report for any book.
"G/L Book" is the default for this drop-down box. Also included in the drop-box box are the labels that you assigned to each optional book during initialization in the Fixed Assets Settings screen, as applicable. If you save the report parameter selections, the selected book number will be identified in the Query table in the Select Book column.
Use the drop-down boxes in this group box to select which type of data should display on the report along with its column position.
There are eight drop-down boxes available, each of which corresponds to a column position on the report. You can choose one of nine data fields to display on the report in each column, as follows:
Total Cost — If you select this value, the system will display the Total Cost amount from Asset Master records on the report for the selected book. If the Total Cost amount is zero, "0.00" will display on the report.
If you have selected the "G/L Book," the report prints the value from the Total Cost field in the G/L Book Info subtasks of the Maintain Asset Master Info screen. The same value also displays in the G/L Book Total Cost Amt column of the Maintain Asset Cost Info screen and in the G/L Book Total Cost column of the Maintain Asset G/L Book Info screen.
If you have selected optional books 2-10, the report prints the value from the Total Cost column in the Other Books Info subtask of the Maintain Asset Master Info screen, as applicable. For each applicable book, the same value also displays in the Book x (or your label) Total Cost column of the Maintain Asset Other Books Info screen and in the Total Cost Amt column of the Maintain Asset Cost Info screen.
Salvage Value — If you select this value, the system will display the Salvage Value amount from Asset Master records on the report for the selected book. If the Salvage Value amount is zero, "0.00" will display on the report.
If you have selected the "G/L Book," the report prints the value from the Salvage Value field in the G/L Book Info subtasks of the Maintain Asset Master Info screen. The same value also displays in the G/L Book Salvage Value column of the Maintain Asset G/L Book Info screen.
If you have selected optional books 2-10, the report prints the value from the Salvage Value column in the Other Books Info subtask of the Maintain Asset Master Info screen, as applicable. For each applicable book, the same value also displays in the Book x (or your label) Salvage Value column of the Maintain Asset Other Books Info screen.
Amount to Depr — If you select this value, the system will display the Amount to Depreciate amount from Asset Master records on the report for the selected book. If the Amount to Depreciate value is zero, "0.00" will display on the report.
If you have selected the "G/L Book," the report prints the value from the Amount to Depreciate field in the G/L Book Info subtasks of the Maintain Asset Master Info screen. The same value also displays in the G/L Book Amt to Depreciate column of the Maintain Asset G/L Book Info screen.
If you have selected optional books 2-10, the report prints the value from the Amount To Depreciate column in the Other Books Info subtask of the Maintain Asset Master Info screen, as applicable. For each applicable book, the same value also displays in the Book x (or your label) Amt to Depreciate column of the Maintain Asset Other Books Info screen.
Prior FY Depr — If you select this value, the system will display the Prior FY Depreciation amount from Asset Master records on the report for the selected book. If the Prior FY Depreciation value is zero, "0.00" will display on the report.
If you have selected the "G/L Book," the report prints the value from the Prior FY Depreciation field in the G/L Book Info subtasks of the Maintain Asset Master Info screen. The same value also displays in the G/L Book Prior FY Depreciation column of the Maintain Asset G/L Book Info screen.
If you have selected optional books 2-10, the report prints the value from the Prior FY Depreciation column in the Other Books Info subtask of the Maintain Asset Master Info screen, as applicable. For each applicable book, the same value also displays in the Book x (or your label) Prior FY Depreciation column of the Maintain Asset Other Books Info screen.
FYTD Depr — If you select this value, the system will display the FYTD Depreciation amount from Asset Master records on the report for the selected book. If the FYTD depreciation value is zero, "0.00" will display on the report.
If you have selected the "G/L Book," the report prints the value from the FYTD Depreciation field in the G/L Book Info subtasks of the Maintain Asset Master Info screen. The same value also displays in the G/L Book FYTD Depreciation column of the Maintain Asset G/L Book Info screen.
If you have selected optional books 2-10, the report prints the value from the FYTD Depreciation column in the Other Books Info subtask of the Maintain Asset Master Info screen, as applicable. For each applicable book, the same value also displays in the Book x (or your label) FYTD Depreciation column of the Maintain Asset Other Books Info screen.
Current Pd Depr — If you select this value, the system will display the Current Pd Depreciation amount from Asset Master records on the report for the selected book. If the Current Pd Depreciation value is zero, "0.00" will display on the report.
If you have selected the "G/L Book," the report prints the value from the Current Pd Depreciation field in the G/L Book Info subtasks of the Maintain Asset Master Info screen. The same value also displays in the G/L Book Current Pd Depreciation column of the Maintain Asset G/L Book Info screen.
If you have selected optional books 2-10, the report prints the value from the Current Pd Depreciation column in the Other Books Info subtask of the Maintain Asset Master Info screen, as applicable. For each applicable book, the same value also displays in the Book x (or your label) Current Pd Depreciation column of the Maintain Asset Other Books Info screen.
Accum Depr — If you select this value, the system will display the Accum Depreciation amount from Asset Master records on the report for the selected book. If the Accum Depreciation value is zero, "0.00" will display on the report.
If you have selected the Include Current Pd Depr Exp Amt in Accum Depr Column checkbox in the Accum Depr Total Option group box, the total amounts displayed on the report for accumulated depreciation will be identical to those displayed in the corresponding Asset Master record.
If the Include Current Pd Depr Exp Amt in Accum Depr Column checkbox in the Accum Depr Total Option group box is unchecked, the accumulated depreciation total will include only the total of the fiscal year-to-date and depreciation for all prior fiscal years. In this circumstance, any current period depreciation already computed will be excluded from the system-computed total accumulated depreciation total.
If you have selected the "G/L Book," the report prints the value from the Accum Depreciation field in the G/L Book Info subtasks of the Maintain Asset Master Info screen. The same value also displays in the G/L Book Accum Depreciation column of the Maintain Asset G/L Book Info screen.
If you have selected optional books 2-10, the report prints the value from the Accum Depreciation column in the Other Books Info subtask of the Maintain Asset Master Info screen, as applicable. For each applicable book, the same value also displays in the Book x (or your label Accum Depreciation column of the Maintain Asset Other Books Info screen.
Book Value — If you select this value, the system will display the Book Value amount from Asset Master records on the report for the selected book. If the Book Value amount is zero, "0.00" will display on the report.
If you have selected the Include Current Pd Depr Exp Amt in Accum Depr Column checkbox in the Accum Depr Total Option group box, the total amounts displayed on the report for book value will be identical to those displayed in the corresponding Asset Master record.
If the Include Current Pd Depr Exp Amt in Accum Depr Column checkbox in the Accum Depr Total Option group box is unchecked, the accumulated depreciation total will include only the total of the fiscal year-to-date and depreciation for all prior fiscal years. In this circumstance, any current period depreciation already computed will be excluded from the system-computed total accumulated depreciation total and the resulting book value total.
If you have selected the "G/L Book," the report prints the value from the Book Value field in the G/L Book Info subtasks of the Maintain Asset Master Info screen. The same value also displays in the G/L Book Book Value column of the Maintain Asset G/L Book Info screen.
If you have selected optional books 2-10, the report prints the value from the Book Value column in the Other Books Info subtask of the Maintain Asset Master Info screen, as applicable. For each applicable book, the same value also displays in the Book x (or your label) Book Value column of the Maintain Asset Other Books Info screen.
None — If you select this option for the column, the system will suppress the display of this column. Neither the header nor "0.00" will display on the report. The system displays the space occupied by the column position as blanks.
Use the drop-down box to select a field to display in the first column on the report. "Total Cost" displays as the default for this list. To display total blanks in this column, select the "None" option.
If you save the report parameter selections, the selected field name will be identified in the Query table in the Column 1 column.
Use the drop-down box to select a field to display in the second column on the report. "Salvage Value" displays as the default for this list. To display total blanks in this column, select the "None" option.
If you save the report parameter selections, the selected field name will be identified in the Query table in the Column 2 column.
Use the drop-down box to select a field to display in the third column on the report. "Amount to Depr" displays as the default for this list. To display total blanks in this column, select the "None" option.

Use the drop-down box to select one field to display in the fourth column on the report. Prior FY Depr" displays as the default for this list. To display total blanks in this column, select the "None" option.

Use the drop-down box to select one field to display in the fifth column on the report. "FYTD Depr" displays as the default for this list. To display total blanks in this column, select the "None" option.

Use the drop-down box to select one field to display in the sixth column on the report. "Current Pd Depr" displays as the default for this list. To display total blanks in this column, select the "None" option.
