PROJECTED DEPRECIATION EXPENSE INQUIRY

Use this screen to view the results of the calculation process run from the Compute Projected Depreciation screen. In the header of this screen, you can select a general subset of records to view, including the book number, the depreciation expense account and organization, and the fiscal year and accounting period.

Data displays in the table window when you select the Execute button on the toolbar. Once data displays in the table window, the Match button is enabled on the toolbar. If you select the Match button and then select the Execute button, the fields from the first row display in the screen header fields. Alternately, if you highlight a specific row in the table window, select the Match button, and then select the Execute button, the fields from the highlighted row will display in the screen header fields, and the columns will not be visible in the table window.

Use Subquery to choose more specific selection criteria or enter selection criteria in the screen fields. Data in the table window is non-editable.

You can view the results of computed projected depreciation at any time in this screen after you have run the Compute Projected Depreciation process. Data loaded into the table window remains until a new calculation is run. You should, therefore, always run the calculation from the Compute Projected Depreciation screen before viewing and printing data to be sure that you are accessing the most current data.

In the Compute Projected Depreciation screen you had the option to compute future depreciation for currently owned assets and/or projected asset purchases. If you chose to compute future depreciation for projected purchases, you should first enter estimated future purchases in the Maintain Projected Asset Purchases screen before running this process.

In the Compute Projected Depreciation screen you also had the option to compute future depreciation for currently owned assets that will be disposed of in advance of their stated useful life. If you selected the Currently Owned Assets checkbox, you should first enter estimated future disposals in the Maintain Projected Asset Disposals screen before running this process.

Table Window

Please refer to the preceding documentation regarding the relationship between column data display in the table window and field data display in the screen header. The columns in the table window are non-editable.

Note:  Technically, in this version of Costpoint, you can use the standard Windows Find and Replace functionalities in most child table window screens. Because this is an inquiry screen in which no edits are permitted, the Replace function has been disabled. You can, however, safely use Find in this screen because its sole purpose is to help you locate specified data within the table window. For more information about the Find and Replace functionalities, please see the Basic Functions documentation.
