This pop-up dialog box automatically displays after you have specified the template/revision number on the main screen.
This radio button is the first option available for the import of template data and is selected by default.
With this option selected, the system does not overwrite existing asset data with template data except as determined by your checkbox selections. The purpose of this option is to safeguard autocreated or manually added data while supplying additional data that is required in Asset Master records.
Much of the Asset Master data, such as Vendor ID, and so on, may already have been captured from Costpoint Purchasing, Receiving, and/or Accounts Payable during the autocreation process. Alternately, you may have already entered a Vendor ID in the record that you do not want to be overwritten with template data. With this overwrite option, you can retain the existing data in the record, regardless of its source, and supplement only blank data fields with the template data.
Each of the checkboxes, associated with this radio button selection, provides an overwrite option because each of these Asset Master fields displays a default value and is not considered to be "blank," as follows:
The Asset Record Status (Active/Inactive) default is Active.
The Asset Depr Status (Depreciable/Non-Depreciable) default is Depreciable.
The Asset Depr Based on Code (Years/Units/Lease Pds) default is Years.
The Asset Condition Code (New/Used) default is New.
The Asset Auto Calc Flag (Y/N) for all books is "Y."
With this radio button option, you must also choose from two alternatives regarding the import of user-defined data from the template. These are "all or nothing" options, in which you can populate all Asset Master user-defined data fields with all template user-defined data, or you can you can choose to not to populate the Asset Master user-defined fields with template user-defined data.

This checkbox is available only if you have selected the Overwrite only BLANK Asset Master fields with template data radio button in this group box.
If you select this checkbox, the system will populate only BLANK Asset Master fields with template data and the system will overwrite the default Active (A) Record Status in this screen with the template data. If, for example, you selected the Inactive radio button in the Record Status group box in the template, this option will copy the Inactive status from the template and otherwise only populate blank Asset Master fields with template data.
If you do not select this checkbox, the system will populate only BLANK Asset Master fields with template data and will ignore the value you have specified for the Record Status radio button in the template. In this circumstance, the system will automatically select the Active radio button in the Record Status group box, which is the default value.

This checkbox is available only if you have selected the Overwrite only BLANK Asset Master fields with template data radio button in this group box. If you select this checkbox, the system will populate only BLANK Asset Master columns in this screen with template data and the system will overwrite the default Depreciable ("D") Depr Status in this screen with the template data. If, for example, you selected the Non-Depreciable radio button in the Depr Status group box in the template, this option will copy the Non-Depreciable status from the template and otherwise only populate blank Asset Master fields with template data.
If you do not select this checkbox, the system will populate only BLANK Asset Master fields with template data and will ignore the value you have specified for the Depr Status in the template. In this circumstance, the system will automatically select the Depreciable radio button in the Depr Status group box, which is the default value.

This checkbox is available only if you have selected the Overwrite only BLANK Asset Master fields with template data radio button in this group box. If you select this checkbox, the system will populate only BLANK Asset Master columns in this screen with template data and the system will overwrite the default "Depr Based on Code" ("Y") in this screen with the template data (if the asset is depreciable). If, for example, you selected the Lease Pds radio button in the Depr Based On Code group box in the template (and selected the Depreciable radio button in the Depr Status group box), this option will copy the Lease Pds status from the template and otherwise only populate blank Asset Master fields with template data.
If you do not select this checkbox, the system will populate only BLANK Asset Master fields with template data and will ignore the value you have specified for the Depr Based On Code radio button in the template (if the asset is depreciable). In this circumstance, if you selected the Depreciable radio button in the Depr Status group box in the template, the system will automatically select the Years radio button in the Depr Based On Code group box, which is the default value.

This checkbox is available only if you have selected the Overwrite only BLANK Asset Master fields with template data radio button in this group box. If you select this checkbox, the system will populate only BLANK Asset Master fields with template data and the system will overwrite the default New ("N") Condition Code with the template data. If, for example, you selected the Used radio button in the Condition group box in the Purchase Info subtask of the template, this option will copy the Used status from the template and otherwise only populate blank Asset Master fields with template data.
If you do not select this checkbox, the system will populate only BLANK Asset Master fields with template data and will ignore the value you have specified for the Condition radio button in the template. In this circumstance, the system will select the New radio button in the Condition group box, which is the default value.

This checkbox is available only if you have selected the Overwrite only BLANK Asset Master fields with template data radio button in this group box. If you select this checkbox, the system will populate only BLANK Asset Master fields with template data, and the system will overwrite the default "Yes" ("Y") Auto Calc Flag with the template data. If, for example, you had entered Auto Calc Flag = "N" in the template for Book 1 only, this option will copy the "N" flag for Book 1 and the "Y" flags for Books 2-10 from the template and otherwise only populate blank Asset Master fields with template data.
If you do not select this checkbox, the system will populate only BLANK Asset Master fields with template data and will ignore the values you have specified for the Auto Calc flags in the template for all books. In this circumstance, the system will automatically activate the "Yes" Auto Calc Flag checkboxes, which are the default values.
Use the radio button options in this group box to choose from two alternatives regarding the import of user-defined data from the template. These are "all or nothing" options, in which you can populate all Asset Master user-defined data fields with all template user-defined data, or you can you can populate no Asset Master user-defined fields with template user-defined data.

This radio button is the second option available for the import of template data.
This radio button is not selected by default.
Select this radio button to populate all asset master fields with template data, including all template UDF data. With this option, blank template fields will overwrite existing Asset Master data with blanks.
Select this option with care, as the system will replace your autocreated data with actual template data or with blanks if there is no template data. This radio button option is more appropriate for use in this screen when manually adding new Asset Master records and less appropriate for use in the Edit Autocreation Transactions screen.
This radio button is not selected by default.
Select this radio button to cancel the Template Data Import and escape from this selection screen.
