Use this subtask to view the list of documents linked to the selected part and maintain the changes this ECN will require. The table window displays part document information from the Document subtask of the Basic Part Data screen in Costpoint Product Definition.
This field displays ECN ID from the main screen. The unlabeled field to the right displays the ECN description from the main screen.
This field displays the change-to part ID from the main screen if the Action Code is "A -Add," "R - Replace," or "V - New Rev" in the Parts Impacted table window of the main screen. This field displays the Original Part ID from the main screen if the Action Code from the main screen is "O - Obsolete" or "C - Change."
The unlabeled field beneath this field displays the part description from the Basic Part Data screen in Costpoint Product Definition.
This field displays part revision code from the main screen.
This field displays the line number, which automatically increases by one for each line added.
Select the action this ECN will perform from the drop-down box in this optional field. Choices are "A - Add," "C - Change," "D - Delete," and "F - Reference" (to reference a document or document location).
Enter, or use Lookup to select, up to six alphanumeric characters for the type code of the document to be affected by this ECN. This field is required. This type code must be a valid code from the Document Types screen in Costpoint Bills of Material and Product Definition.
Enter, or use Lookup to select, up to 30 alphanumeric characters of the document ID to be affected by this ECN. This field is required. This document ID must be either a valid ID from the Maintain Documents screen in Costpoint Bills of Material or Product Definition, or for a new document identified in the ECN Documents subtask for this ECN.
Enter, or use Lookup to select, up to three alphanumeric characters to identify the document revision to be affected by this ECN. This field is optional. The document type, ID, and revision combination must already exist from the Maintain Documents screen of Costpoint Bills of Material or Product Definition, or be for a new document identified in the ECN Documents subtask for this ECN.
This field displays the name of document.
This field displays the location of the document. The default location for the type code (i.e., where the document is stored) is loaded into the Location column. If you change the location of the document (e.g., on a network server), you can update this field in the Maintain Documents screen in either Costpoint Product Definition or Bills of Materials, based on the default location of the document. Select the Launch pushbutton to access the document.
This field displays the status of document.
Enter the date on which the document should become effective for the part. This field is required. The default is the effective date for the part from the main screen.
Enter the date on which the document will no longer be effective for the part. This field is optional. This date must be later than the Effective Start Date.
Enter, or use Lookup to select, up to 10 alphanumeric characters for the part's BOM configuration for which the document will be effective. This field is optional. If entered, this configuration must exist in Costpoint Bills of Material. This field is hidden if you did not select the Use Configuration IDs checkbox in the BOM Corporate Settings subtask of the BOM Settings screen in Costpoint Bills of Material.
Enter "Y" (Yes) in this required field if this document should be referenced on POs, requisitions, and RFQs for this part.
Enter "Y" (Yes) in this required field if this document should be referenced on Receipt Travelers for this part.
Enter "Y" (Yes) in this required field if this document should be referenced on MO Assembly Sheets for this part.
Enter "Y" (Yes) in this required field if this document should be referenced on MO Routing Travelers for this part in this required field.
Select this pushbutton to load the new documents for this part. All documents not flagged for deletion will be added to this screen for linking to the part displayed in this screen.
Select this pushbutton to open the Copy Part Documents Data subtask for copying documents linked to another part of this part.
Select this pushbutton to view the document.
