Use this subtask to copy an EBOM from another assembly part/revision. Access this subtask by selecting the Copy EBOM subtask in the EBOM Components screen.
If the Action Code in the main screen is "C - Change" and you use this subtask, the EBOM components will populate the table window on the main screen, but the Action Code for each component line will be blank. If the Action Code in the main screen is "A -Add," "R -Replace," "V -New Rev," or "O -Obsolete," the Action Code for each component line will be "A -Add."
Enter, or use the LookUp or LookUp Prov Part pushbuttons to select, the assembly part from which you want to copy component parts. The part description will display in the unlabeled field beneath this field.
Enter, or use the LookUp or LookUp Prov Part pushbuttons to select, the assembly part revision from which you want to copy component parts.
Enter the as-of effective date of the BOM for which you want to pull components. Only those components that are effective as of this date will be copied.
Enter, or use the LookUp pushbutton to select, the EBOM configuration for which you want to pull components. If entered, only those components valid for the specified configuration will be included. This field will be hidden if you did not select the Use Configuration IDs checkbox in the BOM Corporate Settings subtask of the BOM Settings screen in Costpoint Bills of Material.
Use this pushbutton to look up data for a selected field.
Use this pushbutton to lookup and select a provisional part ID whose EBOM is being copied.
