Select the EBOM status (i.e., "Released" or "Unreleased") of the selected assembly part from the drop-down box. This field is required, but can be changed. The default is the value of part's assembly release flag. If the Action Code is "A - Add," "R - Replace," or "V - New Rev" in the main screen, this field defaults with the value from the Change-To EBOM Status field in the main screen. If the Action Code is "C - Change" or "O - Obsolete" in the main screen and the original part is an EBOM assembly, this field defaults with the original part's BOM Status from the Maintain EBOM screen. All component parts must be released (i.e., the Component Released field must be "Y" for all lines) for the EBOM Status to be "Released."
If the Action Code is "A - Add," "R - Replace," or "V - New Rev" for the selected line in the main screen, this field will default with the value from the Change-To Status field. If the Action Code is "C - Change" or "O - Obsolete" for the selected line in the main screen, this field will default with the value from the Original Part Status field.
If the Action Code in the main screen is "O - Obsolete" or "C - Change," the original part's EBOM components will load into this table window if the original part is an EBOM assembly. If the Action Code in the main screen is "A - Add," "R - Replace," or "V - New Rev," the change-to part's EBOM components will default into this table window if the change-to part is an EBOM assembly. If no components exist for the Assembly Part, you can copy components from an existing MBOM or EBOM assembly, or add new component lines manually.
Select from the drop-down box the action this ECN will perform, either "A - Add," "C - Change," "D - Delete," or "O - Obsolete." If you are adding a new line, the default is "A - Add." If the table window defaults with the EBOM components for the original part or change-to part, this field will be blank depending on the Action Code in the main screen.
Enter up to four digits of the line number to identify the specific EBOM component line. This field is required. If the part in header has EBOM components, this field takes the value from BOM structure.
Enter up to four alphanumeric characters of the drawing find number used for this EBOM component line. Upon populating the Line field for a new line, this field will default with zeroes, but can be changed. For example, if you enter "3" in the Line field, the Find field will default to "0003." This field is optional.
You can enter both standard and provisional parts in this field. Enter, use Lookup, or use the Lookup Prov Part pushbutton to select, the component part ID used on this EBOM line. This optional field of up to 30 alphanumeric characters must be a valid part ID from the Basic Part Data screen (for standard parts) or the Maintain Provisional Parts screen (for provisional parts) in Costpoint Product Definition. If the part in the header already has EBOM components, this field populates from the BOM structure. You can add new components.
Enter, use Lookup, or use the Lookup Prov Part pushbutton to select, the component part revision used on this EBOM line. This optional field of up to three alphanumeric characters must be part of a valid part/revision combination from the Basic Part Data screen (for standard parts) or the Maintain Provisional Parts screen (for provisional parts) in Costpoint Product Definition.
Enter the component type code: "B" (Buy With Component), "S" (Standard), "P" (Phantom), "R" (Reference), "T" (Tool), or "D" (Deleted). This field is required. The default takes the code associated with the component part from the Basic Part Data screen in Costpoint Product Definition (for standard parts), or the Maintain Provisional Parts screen (for provisional parts).
Enter the quantity type code: "A" (Per Assembly), "R" (As Required), or "O" (Per Order). This field is required. If you have selected the As Required checkbox in the Basic Part Data screen in Costpoint Product Definition for the component part, or the Comp Type is "R" (Reference), the default for this field is "R." If the Comp Type is "T" (Tool), the default for this field is "O." Otherwise, the default is "A."
Enter up to 14 digits, including two digits after the decimal point, for the component part quantity required in the EBOM. This field is required. The default is "1." If the Qty Type is "R," the default is zero.
This field displays the inventory unit of measure for the component from the Basic Part Data screen in Costpoint Product Definition.
Enter "M" (Make) if the component is to be manufactured or "B" (Buy) if it is to be purchased. This field is required. The default takes its value from the component part.
Enter, or use Lookup to select, the ID of the configuration in which this component will be used when planning this EBOM. This optional field of up to 10 alphanumeric characters must be a valid ID from the Configuration Identifiers screen in Costpoint Bills of Material. If you did not select the Use Configuration IDs checkbox in the BOM Corporate Settings subtask of the BOM Settings screen in Costpoint Bills of Material, this field is hidden.
