Use this screen to print an indented BOM report for a selected range of assembly part numbers. You can include the first-level components of the assembly, the entire indented BOM through all levels, or an indented BOM through a specified number of levels. When the engineering BOM features are functional (i.e., the Use Engineering Bills of Materials checkbox is selected in the BOM Corporate Settings subtask of the BOM Settings screen), you can use this screen to print either MBOMs or EBOMs.
Use this screen to print MBOM and EBOM information.
Use this group box to customize the sorting criteria of the report.
Select this radio button to sort components of an assembly in line number order.
Select this radio button to sort components of an assembly in part number order.
Select this radio button to sort components of an assembly in find number order.
Use the fields in this group box to select which assembly parts to include in the report.
Select a range of end part numbers to include in the report. The system-defined selections in this drop-down box include "All," "One," "Range," "From Beginning," and "To End." The default for this field is "One."
Enter, use Lookup, or use the Lookup Prov Part pushbutton to select the ID of the assembly that is to be the starting point of the BOMs to explode. This field can have up to 30 alphanumeric characters and must be a valid part number from the Basic Part Data screen (for standard parts) or from the Maintain Provisional Parts screen (for provisional parts) in Costpoint Product Definition. If the Manufacturing radio button is selected in the BOM Type group box, you can enter, or use Lookup to select, only standard parts for this field. However, if the Engineering radio button is selected, you can use the Lookup Prov Part pushbutton to look up provisional parts. You can also enter, use Lookup to select, a standard assembly part.
Enter, use Lookup, or use the Lookup Prov Part pushbutton to select the revision of the assembly that is to be the starting point of the BOMs to explode. This field can have up to three alphanumeric characters, and must be a valid revision number for the part from the Basic Part Data screen (for standard parts) or from the Maintain Provisional Parts screen (for provisional parts) in Costpoint Product Definition.
Enter, use Lookup, or use the Lookup Prov Part pushbutton to select the ID of the assembly that is to be the ending point of the BOMs to explode.

Use the selections in this group box to customize the report to print either Manufacturing Bills of Material (MBOMs) or Engineering Bills of Material (EBOMs) based on the selected assembly part(s).
Select this radio button to print the MBOM for this assembly. You can enter only standard parts in the Select Assembly Parts group box when this radio button is selected; the Lookup Prov Part pushbutton is disabled.
Select this radio button to print the EBOM for this assembly. If you select this radio button, you can use the Lookup Prov Part pushbutton to look up provisional parts in the Select Assembly Parts group box. You can also enter, use Lookup to select, a standard assembly part. This radio button is enabled when the Use Engineering Bills of Materials checkbox is selected in the BOM Corporate Settings subtask of the BOM Settings screen.
Use fields in this group box to customize the report to print BOMs for all configurations, for a specific configuration, or for a specific date.
Select this checkbox to include all configurations/effectivities for the assembly in the report. All BOM records for that assembly will be printed, regardless of the effectivity date or configuration selected. This option is available only if the Single Level radio button is selected in the BOM Levels group box.
Enter the component effectivity date for the assembly. If you enter an As of Date, the report will include only those components with a starting effectivity date that is earlier than, or the same as, the as-of date and an ending effectivity date (if not blank) later than the As of Date. This field is disabled if the Show All Configurations checkbox is selected.
Use Lookup to view the serial number ranges of the assembly to determine the configuration/as-of date for the report. This field is disabled if the Show All Configurations checkbox is selected.
Enter, or use Lookup to select, the BOM configuration ID for selective component viewing. This field is available if you selected the Use Configuration IDs checkbox in the BOM Corporate Settings subtask of the BOM Settings screen; it will be unavailable if you selected the Show All Configurations checkbox in this screen. This field can have up to 10 alphanumeric characters, which must be a valid ID from the Configuration Identifiers screen.
If you enter a configuration ID, what prints on the report depends on whether that configuration ID appears on a given assembly line. If a line exists with the entered configuration ID, that line will print. If no line exists with the entered configuration ID, but there is a line without a configuration ID, the line without a configuration ID will print. If a line cannot be found that contains either the entered configuration ID or an empty configuration ID field, no line will print.
Use selections in this group box to include or exclude certain types of components.
Select this checkbox to include any reference parts and their components on the BOM.
Select this checkbox to include any tooling parts and their components on the BOM.
Select this checkbox to include any components of stop-explosion subassemblies on the BOM.
Select this checkbox to include any as-required parts and their components on the BOM.
Select this checkbox to include any omit-requirements parts and their components on the BOM.
Use the selections in this group box to specify the level of explosion of components to include in the report.
Select this radio button to explode only the first-level components of this assembly.
Select this radio button to explode all components of this assembly with their related level numbers.
Select this radio button to explode components of this assembly up to a specific number of levels, entered in the adjacent field.
If you unselect this checkbox, the explosion of phantom parts will stop at the lowest specified level depending on the radio button that is selected in the BOM Levels group box. This checkbox will be selected and disabled if you select the Indented - All Levels radio button.
Select this radio button to print the BOMs to a report or ASCII print file.
Select this radio button to send the BOM to an Impromptu table for customized reporting. If you select this option and the Indented – All Levels or Indented – Specify Level radio buttons are selected in the BOM Levels group box, the Multiply Out Subassembly Quantities checkbox in the Print Options group box will be automatically selected and disabled. The report will include both the cumulative and non-cumulative quantities, scrap rates, and yield rates.
Use the selections in this group box to customize the report by multiplying out subassembly quantities or by including reference designators, component comments, and text notes. The Print Reference Designators, Print Component Comments, and Print Component BOM Text Notes checkboxes are unavailable if you select the Impromptu Reports Table radio button in the Output Format group box.
Select this checkbox to multiply quantities required by higher-level subassemblies. This option is not available if you selected the Single Level radio button in the BOM Levels group box. If either the Indented – All Levels or Indented – Specify Level radio buttons are selected in the BOM Levels group box, and the Impromptu Reports Table radio button is selected in the Output Format group box, the Multiply Out Subassembly Quantities checkbox will be selected and disabled.
