Use this subtask to view standard text notes attached to the selected component for the BOM of the selected assembly. You can establish standard text code information in the Standard Text screen in Costpoint Product Definition and assign it to parts in the Maintain Parts screen (for standard parts) or Maintain Provisional Parts screen (for provisional parts) in Costpoint Product Definition. You can also assign standard text lines to the component part for the BOM assembly in the applicable MBOM or EBOM screens.
The fields in this group box provide basic information about the assembly.
This field displays the part number of the selected assembly line. A description of the part displays in the untitled field below this field.
This field displays the revision for the part of the selected assembly line.
The fields in this group box provide details about the component from the selected assembly line.
This field displays the line number for the component.
This field displays the drawing find number for the component.
This field displays the component part number. A description of the part displays in the untitled field below this field.
This field displays the component part revision.
This field displays the date on which the component will become effective in the selected assembly's BOM.
This field displays the date on which the component will cease to be effective in the selected assembly's BOM.
This field displays the configuration ID of the selected assembly's BOM in which the component is used.
This field displays the sequence number for this text code, which determines printing order.
This field displays the text code to attach to this component for BOM printing.
This field displays the description of the text code.
This field displays the document print option, which shows the types of documents in which the text will print: internal, external or both.
This field indicates whether this code is active ("Y") or inactive ("N") for printing.
Select this pushbutton to view the text notes of the selected text code. This pushbutton is disabled if no standard text code information exists.
For manufacturing BOMs, the information that displays in this screen is stored in the following tables: MFG_BOM, ITEM, MFG_BOM_TEXT, and STD_TEXT.
For engineering BOMs, the information that displays in this screen is stored in the following tables: ENG_BOM, ITEM, PROV_PART, ENG_BOM_TEXT, and STD_TEXT.
