Use this subtask to view detailed information, including substitute parts, about the component in the selected assembly line. You can establish and maintain the information that defaults into this subtask in the BOM screen for which the component exists.
The fields in this group box provide details about the component for the assembly line, subject to the selection criteria.
This field displays the component part number. A description of the part displays in the untitled field below.
This field displays the component part revision.
This field displays the "M" (Make)/"B" (Buy) status of the component.
This field displays the assembly part type code from Basic Part Data screen in Costpoint Product Definition: "B" (Buy with Components), "S" (Standard), "P" (Phantom), "R" (Reference), and "T" (Tool).
This field displays the release status of the component part from Basic Part Data screen in Costpoint Product Definition.
This field displays the national stock number of the component.
This field displays the military specification number of the component.
This field displays the Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) code of the component.
This table displays the substitute parts information for the component.
This field displays the sequence in the order of preference.
This field displays the substitute part ID that can be exchanged for this component.
This field displays the revision of the substitute part.
This field displays the description of the substitute part.
This field displays "Y" (Yes) or "N" (No), indicating whether or not the substitute part is completely interchangeable with the specified component.
For manufacturing BOMs, the information that displays in this screen is stored in the following tables: MFG_BOM, ITEM, PART, SUBST_PART, S_STATUS_TYPE, and S_PART_TYPE.
For engineering BOMs, the information that displays in this screen is stored in the following tables: ENG_BOM, ITEM, PART, PROV_PART, SUBST_PART, S_STATUS_TYPE, and S_PART_TYPE.
