Use this subtask to view a detailed description of the selected text code from the Component Text Codes subtask, along with general information about the assembly and component. This subtask is disabled if no standard text code information exists.
The fields in this group box provide basic information about the assembly.
This field displays the assembly or parent part of the BOM. A description of the part displays in the untitled field below this field.
This field displays the revision of the assembly or parent part of the BOM.
This field displays the release status of the BOM for the assembly part.
This field, based on the configuration identifiers entered in the main screen, displays the effectivity date that is being used to control which components are displayed.
This field, based on the configuration identifiers entered in the main screen, displays the configuration ID that is being used to control which components are displayed.
The fields in this group box provide details about the component lines of the assembly part, subject to the selection criteria.
This field displays the level of the component line in the BOM of the part. This field is hidden if you selected the Single-Level radio button in the BOM Levels group box in the main screen.
This field displays the line number for the BOM component line selected from the main screen.
This field displays the drawing find number for the BOM component line selected from the main screen.
This field displays the component part number for the BOM line. A description of the part displays in the untitled field below this field.
This field contains the component part revision for the BOM line.
This field displays the "M" (Make)/"B" (Buy) status of the component.
This field displays the text code to attach to this component for BOM printing. A description of the text code displays in the adjacent field. The text box below this field contains the free-form notes associated with the selected text code.
This field displays the document print option, which shows the types of documents in which the text will print: internal, external, or both.
For manufacturing BOMs, the information that displays in this screen is stored in the following tables: MFG_BOM, ITEM, PART, MFG_BOM_TEXT, and STD_TEXT.
For engineering BOMs, the information that displays in this screen is stored in the following tables: ENG_BOM, ITEM, PART, PROV_PART, ENG_BOM_TEXT, and STD_TEXT.
